Muse: Christmas Visions

Hi everyone!
My card today is inspired by Birgit's two cards over at Muse: Christmas Visions.  I love that she shared two cards and we could be inspired by one or both of the cards.  I took a little bit of inspiration from both of her cards.  The black silhouette caroler from the first card and the frame from the second card.  This was not the plan in my head when I first started out, but I think it turned out ok.  Now that I see the card on my computer screen, I am thinking the star should have been placed a bit higher.  Bummer.  It is not moving so I am going with it.  :)

I am also adding this over at Christmas Card Challenges: Anything goes.

Thank you for visiting and have a great day!

Stamps:  Think Big Favorites #21 (Papertrey Ink)
Accessories:  Funky Flakes Fri-Dies (SOA Holiday Magic), Side stitched rectangles (Lil' Inker)

  2. Your star looks perfect exactly where it is! But I hear you on the 'oh dang it' thing. I've had that happen too - a card looks good when it is in your hand, sometimes a different story once it is in a photo on your blog!

Beautifully shaded colors - love the dramatic contrast between the black silhouettes and the soft colors.

  3. Love this, Kristie. The gradient blue inking is fabulous. You plan might not have been what you intended, but it turned out awesome.

  8. Lovely Christmas card in such soft blues. Love the look of this one; especially how you've got it framed. The star looks just fine, really! I like it inside the confines of the frame. So pretty. Bev

  9. What a beautiful card - love the sponging and the drama of the silhouette images against it, perfectly contained within the subtle frame.
