BIRTHDAY BLESSINGS

Hi friends!  Happy Friday!  Today I am sharing a Clean & Simple card using the Whimsical Blooms stamp set and the Flourish & Whimsy stencil by Catherine Pooler!

The sentiment is from a new set by The Greetery called Sentiment Suite: Birthday!  I love all the fun birthday sentiments in this set.

I started this card by using my blending brushes to lightly ink the bottom corner of my card base using Twilight ink.  I love the soft background this created.  I then die cut and stamped the blooms and white heat embossed the sentiment onto a strip of black card stock.  I added a few sparkly clear sequins to finish off the card.

I am adding this over at AAA  Cards: Game 143

I will also add this over at Seize the Birthday

Thank you for visiting and have a great day!

HELLO

Hi friends!  If you watched all the videos by Catherine from the Hello Sunshine release, you saw this card already, but I wanted to share it here too.

I started by sponging white pigment ink onto kraft card stock through the Flourish & Whimsy stencil.  I love the look of white on kraft.  I then used direct to paper using my Rockin' Red ink pad to create colored card stock and die cut the hello from the Hello mini cover plate die.

A pretty simple card, but one I can't wait to get in the mail to one of my peeps!

Thank you for visiting and have a great day!

JULY BIRTHDAY

Hi friends!  I am sharing a card that I created using the ink that was left on my stencil after creating this card HERE.  After I was done ink blending, I spritzed the stencil with water and then placed it with the ink and water side down onto a piece of card stock.  This is a great way to use the leftover ink on your stencils.

I love the watercolored look this gives.  I followed the sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches.

I am going to add this over at AAA Birthday #2: Use Watercolors.

Thank you for visiting and have a great day!

STAMPNATION WEEKEND COLOR CHALLENGE

Hi friends!  Happy Friday!  I was inspired again by the weekend color challenge posted on the StampNation FB page.  I am always in need of birthday cards so I went for a fun birthday card using all the colors.  The 3 Scoops set is the perfect stamp for these Spring Fling colors.  Reminds me of sherbert.  YUM!!!

Here are a couple more using the ice cream stamp with different colors and sentiment.

I will add one of these over at Seize the Birthday.

Thank you for visiting and have a great day!

HELLO

Hi friends!  Happy Thursday!  Did you get a chance to hop along the blog hop yesterday for Catherine's new Hello Sunshine release?

  • You can start the Blog hop HERE!
  • There is also a video hop starting today, you can start that HERE!

There are prizes being offered, just sayin'!

I have another card to share with you using the Hello Mini Cover Plate and the gorgeous Flourish & Whimsy stencil.

I started my card by using the stencil with Translucent embossing paste on my card base.  I set that aside to dry and then started working on my sentiment panel.  I cleaned off the stencil and sponged Flirty Fuschia & Fiesta Blue ink over top of my panel.  I then die cut using the Hello Mini Cover Plate.  The black layer behind makes the sentiment pop.

As you can see in this close up the stenciling lines up perfectly on both pieces.

Thank you for visiting and have a great day!

HELLO SUNSHINE RELEASE BLOG HOP & GIVEAWAY BY CATHERINE POOLER!!

Hi everyone!  Welcome to the Hello Sunshine release blog hop for Catherine Pooler Designs.  The Creative Team is sharing projects to introduce you to the new items.  If you are following along the hop you should have arrived here from Catherine's blog.  The complete blog hop list is below.

There are 4 different bundles being released along with Spring Fling Minis!!!

My cards today feature products from the Fun in the Sun Bundle.

Who doesn't love a fun flip flop stamp?!!!  These flip flops are one of the many stamp sets in the Sunscreen Required stamp set.  I just had to stamp them in rainbow order using the Spring Fling colors across the bottom of my card.

I love that there is a stripe stamp that you can add to create a different look to your flip flop just by stamping it on top of the solid image in a slightly darker color.  AND life is definitely better in Flip Flops, in my opinion!  ;)

This card uses one of the many sunshine images/sentiments in the Scatter Sunshine stamp set.  I wanted to create an ombre sun so I used Limoncello & Party Dress inks.  After stamping in the colors, I stamped with Versamark ink and sprinkled Wanderlust embossing powder over top and heat set.  This add the perfect amount of sparkle and shine to this clean and simple card.

I stamped the sentiment using Midnight ink and mounted it on a piece of black cardstock that was mounted on a white card base.  Some black and white twine finishes off my card.

Comment to Win!!!

Make sure you leave comments on all the blogs in the hop today.  Catherine is randomly choosing a winner from each blog hop days comments to win a $25 Gift Certificate to the store!  Winners will be announced on July 1st on Catherine's blog.

Time to hop along to the next stop on the hop which is the amazing Laurel!   The complete blog hop list is below.

HELLO SUNSHINE

Here's another peek of one of my cards.

Black & White polka dot bikini's-YES please!!!

This is such a fun release.  I can't wait to share more.

I also wanted to share another card using this Gingko leaf.  I had a blast creating so many rainbow gingko leaves using the fun watercolor method I shared HERE.  After stamping the leaf, I took the die and ran it through my die cutting machine with an embossing mat to create the embossed outline.  I love the look of this technique!  So fun!

Thank you for visiting and have a great day!

NEVER FORGET & SNEAK PEEK!!!

Hi friends!  I have a super simple card to share with all of you today using the Never Forget Fern stamp set.  I stamped the gorgeous fern leaf using Sage ink and then stamped the gorgeous sentiment over top using Icing on the Cake ink.

I added a bit of brown card stock as a layer behind to add some interest.  Notice I didn't have it go all the way to the top and bottom.  Just thought this created a bit more fun to this card.

I am going to add this over at Time Out Challenges: Nature.

Before you go, I wanted to share a peek at one of my cards for Catherine Pooler's "Hello Sunshine" release.

FATHER'S DAY CARD

Hi friends!  I have another Father's Day card to share with you all today.  It uses the Mountain Majesty stamp set by Papertrey Ink and the Wild About You die.  The Papa stamp is from the World's Best Dad stamp set by Ink to Paper.

After snapping a photo of this card, I was thinking I should have made a brown bear.  It might have shown up better.  Oh well, next time.  :)

This photo does show the bear better.

I am going to add this over at Addicted to CAS: Father

THANKS

Hi everyone!  Did you see my card from Monday HERE?!  While I had all my supplies out, I created multiple cards using the fun inking technique I mention over on my blog post.

I love the subtle gray leaves on the white card stock.  I used the stamping off technique with Twilight ink so I could get them super light.

Thank you for visiting and have a great day!

COURAGE...

Hi friends!  Happy Monday!  I'm sharing a card today using a cool technique to achieve this watercolor look on this gingko leaf stamp.  I saw this technique somewhere online (can't remember who/where) and needed to try it out myself.

I took my Catherine Pooler mini inks and smooshed each color onto my craft mat in rainbow order.  I placed them pretty close together when smooshing and then spritzed it with water.  I then used the smoosed ink as my ink pad.  I love the effect this gives with minimal effort.

For my background I stamped the Wild Thing background stamp using Midnight ink.  I popped up the gingko leaf using black fun foam.

I am sharing this over at Time Out Challenges: Nature.

Thank you for visiting and have a great day!
