Hi friends! Happy Monday! I'm sharing a card today using a cool technique to achieve this watercolor look on this gingko leaf stamp. I saw this technique somewhere online (can't remember who/where) and needed to try it out myself.
I took my Catherine Pooler mini inks and smooshed each color onto my craft mat in rainbow order. I placed them pretty close together when smooshing and then spritzed it with water. I then used the smoosed ink as my ink pad. I love the effect this gives with minimal effort.
For my background I stamped the Wild Thing background stamp using Midnight ink. I popped up the gingko leaf using black fun foam.
I am sharing this over at Time Out Challenges: Nature.
Thank you for visiting and have a great day!

ReplyDeleteWhat a cool technique, Kristie ... those bright, vibrant gingko leaves are just delicious against the black and white irregular polka dots ... and what a great sentiment! Thanks so much for playing along with us at Time Out! Hugs, Anita :)
