Wp9 Monday Mood Board & Muse

Hi friends.  This weeks Monday Mood board over at Stamp Away With Me is gorgeous.  I was inspired by the lace, pink and touch of gold.  My sentiment from Wplus9's Very Vintage Greetings is embossed in gold.  Here is the board.

Thank you Dawn for another board filled with tons of inspiration.

My next card is for Muse Challenge #6 and also Simon Says Stamp and Show.

I absolutely LOVE Deanna's card.  I especially love the doodling around the sentiment and I just had to do that on my card too.  Instead of flowers I decided to use circles and pop them up.  For the Simon Says Stamp and Show challenge we were to use a stamp that we love but don't use or neglect.  I love circle circus.  I just had to have it and there it sits on my shelf.  :)

Here is the very talented Deanna's card.

I loved her card so much I decided to make another one using flowers.

Thank you for the inspiration Deanna!
Thank you for visiting and have a great day!

Dynamic Duos #41, PP134

Hi friends.  Today's card is for Dynamic Duos challenge.  I used the following sketch from The Paper Players.

Instead of adding another piece of cardstock for the gray piece in the sketch I scored a banner.   For my flower image I stamped in Island Indigo onto Pool Party cardstock, then stamped in versamark and embossed in Pool Party onto Island Indigo cardstock.  Punched them out with my punch, cut them in half putting opposite colors together.  Here is another card I made using the same supplies just switching the sentiment.

Thank you for visiting and have a great day!

Ink:  Versamark, Island Indigo

Happy Birthday, You're in my thoughts

Hi friends, hope you are all enjoying your weekend.  Today's card is sure to brighten someone's day.  The sketch over at Seize the birthday is to make a feminine birthday card.  Here is the sketch:

I stamped the doily stamp in versamark then embossed with white embossing powder.  I used my 2 1/2" circle punch to punch it out after I had sponged some Daffodil Delight over the embossed image and cleaned off with paper towel.  Added my ribbon, stamped the sentiment, added the rhinestone to the middle, and popped up the doily with dimensionals.

My second card for today is for Fresh Squeezed Stamps: Squeeze-a-palooza #4 challenge.  There will be two winners, one will be randomly chosen and the other will be readers choice-the card with the most likes.  So please go over and vote for the card you like the best by clicking on "like" beneath your favorite card.  :)

For my card I used You Said It, Sister.  I was lucky enough to win this set during the release.  :)  I love the dot stamp in the set and to tie them in with the card I paper pierced around my 4 leaf clover.  I got my inspiration from this photo.

Thank you for visiting and have a great day!

Masculine card

Hi friends.  I am popping in again this afternoon for my second post.  It is a snowy, cold Saturday here so I have spent some time in my craft room creating.

I always forget to stamp on my DSP so I wanted to incorporate that into my masculine card this time.  I also wanted the strip under the main panel to be stamped directly on the cardstock base but it didn't work out that way the first time stamping.   Then I tried lining it up again with my stamp-a-ma-jig and that didn't work either.  UGH!!   It was actually a pretty easy boo boo to fix up, as you can see.  Not the original look I was going for but it works.

Merry Monday #50

Happy Saturday friends!  I am on a roll with my Christmas cards and I thank Lesley over at Always Playing with Paper for her great Merry Monday Christmas card challenges.  The theme challenge this week was to make an Elegant Christmas card.  I am not sure my card is considered Elegant but I find the sentiment elegant.  :)

I was totally inspired by my sweet friend Catherine Pooler.  I love her KISS card series, she made this card.  LOVE it!  Thank you for the inspiration Catherine.  :)  Not sure if you can tell but the inside of the ornament is embossed with Pool party embossing powder.  Another touch of elegance.

Muse #5

Hi friends!  I am sharing my card for Muse #5.  I was totally inspired by Marion's use of washi tape to create her background and since I have a limited supply of washi tape, only green and red, I was inspired to make another Christmas card.  :)

I love Marion's colorful, textured washi.  Such a fun card.  Thank you for the inspiration Marion.

Happy Birthday

I have another card for you all today that I am entering in  three challenges.  The first is 10 Minute Craft Dash,  the second is Retro Sketches and lastly CASology.   The 10 Minute Craft Dash challenge for this week is a color challenge using these colors.

The sketch for Retro Sketches.

 Casology's Cue word is

I immediately thought of candle flames and couldn't get that out of my head so had to run with it.  :)  I really thought I matched the blue/green with the blue/green in the challenge but not so much.  Bummer.  I used the spotlight technique on my candles, added some glitter to the wick to make them sparkle.  I finished my card in 8 minutes 49 seconds.

Thank you for visiting and have a great day!

White on white

Hi friends!  My card for today is for Simon Says Stamp challenge.  This was our photo inspiration.

My eye was drawn to the white owl in the lower left box.  Owls remind me of my sweet mother-in-law who we lost 3 years ago.  I stamped the owl in Versamark and then used white embossing powder.

Thank you for visiting and have a great day!

Hello

Happy Monday friends!  I hope you had a great weekend.  My card today is for Dynamic Duos and CAS-ual Fridays challenges.  I had to use my Tempting turquoise ink pad and my blender pens to color the feathers, I do not own the Brights markers from SU!  I need to remedy that soon.  :)  I also added crystal effects to make them shine but it is so hard to photograph the shine.  :(

Thank you for visiting and have a great day!

Editing to add this card was picked as an honorable mention at Dynamic Duos.  I am honored.  Thank you Deanna.

Merry Christmas & Masculine card

Hi friends.  Another Christmas card to share.  ;)  I had this left over snowflake sitting on my desk and thought it needed to be put on a card before it got lost.  The sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches helped me out tremendously along with CASology's cue word:  RED.

My second card for you today is for this weeks challenge at Seize the Birthday.

The challenge was to make a masculine card using this sketch.

I created my own DSP using the stamps from The Open Sea!  I love this set for masculine cards.  I offset my circle a bit on purpose to showcase the anchor in the corner.  :)

Thank you for visiting and have a great day!

CAS(E) this Sketch!, CASology

Hi friends, I have a couple more Christmas cards to share with you all.  I am getting closer and closer to reaching my goal.  Hope you don't get sick of seeing them!!  I LOVE the sketch at CAS(E) this Sketch and immediately thought of mass producing some Christmas cards because it is such a fun, simple sketch!  I used my paper piercer and mat pack to create the faux stitching on the banner.  I am also entering this card for CASology's cue word:  RED.  For this next one I pierced two holes beside the banner to thread my twine through to the back of the card.

Thank you for visiting and have a great day!
