A LITTLE HELLO

Hi friends!  Happy Thursday!  I've got a simple card to share with you all today using the adorable fox from the Puddle Play stamp set released as part of Catherine's April Showers Bring...collection.  I adore this fox.  I colored him with Copics and paper pieced his hat using some patterned paper.

I stamped and die cut one of the clouds from the April Showers stamp set.  I set that aside and blended some Cummerbund ink onto a small section of my card front.  I then stamped some rain drops using the same color ink.  I stamped and white heat embossed the sentiment onto a strip of black card stock and adhered that to my card along with a small strip of the same patterned paper I used on his hat.  I popped the fox up on dimensional adhesive to add some dimension to this clean & simple card.

SHINE BRIGHT

Hi friends!  Happy Tuesday!  I've got a slimline card to share with you today using the Light Burst Slimline Die and the Shine Bright Word die.  I ink blended a rainbow onto my card base and then glued the light burst die cut over top using white card stock.

I die cut the shine bright word die from black card stock a couple times and glued them together for dimension.  I adhered that to the center of my card and added some Crater Lake Sequins for some extra sparkle.

SENDING BEAR HUGS

Hi friends!  Happy Saturday!  I've got two cards to share with you today using the April Showers & Puddle Play stamp sets.  I created a masculine and feminine version.

On the feminine card I die cut the clouds from a card panel and then sponged ink onto the card base behind the clouds.  I used some patterned paper to ground the bear and stamp the sentiment as well as paper piece the umbrella.  I left the bear white.

On the masculine version, I stamped and die cut the patterned clouds using Cummerbund ink and then glued them onto my card base.  I used a black strip of card stock to ground my bear and I colored the umbrella in with Copics and stamped the bear on kraft card stock using Midnight ink.  Two similar designs, but you get a different look on each one.  Do you prefer one over the other?  I like them both equally.  ;)

HUGS

Hi friends!  I've got a card to share with you all today using the Slimline Light Burst Die as a stencil on an A2 sized card using kraft card stock.  I die cut from two pieces of card stock to use as my stencils.  I sponged the first layer using a white pigment ink and let that dry.  After it was dry I shifted the stencil a bit and sponged Fiesta Blue & Flirty Fuschia ink over top.  This creates a cool shadow effect.

I stamped and die cut the sentiment from the One Liners Sentiments stamp set after white heat embossing it on black card stock.  I trimmed down the kraft card stock and adhered it with a black layer and then onto my white card base.

WHEN LIFE GIVES YOU RAIN...

Hi friends!  I've got a pretty simple card to share with you today using the adorable fox from the Puddle Play stamp set and the clouds from the April Showers stamp set.  I stamped and die cut the fox and only colored his hat.  How cute is he with his yellow rain hat?!  I then stamped one of the clouds and die cut it then die cut some from white card stock.

I stamped some puddles, splashes and rain drops using Cummerbund ink.  I finish off the card with the sentiment.

SHINE BRIGHT

Hi friends!  Happy Monday!  I've got another slimline card to share with you all today using the beautiful Light Burst Slimline die from Catherine's April Showers Bring...release.  I did a bit of sponging on my card base.  I die cut the die and embossed it using Halo embossing glitter.  It shines so beautifully in real life.

I die cut the Shine Bright sentiment from gray card stock and added that to the card.  Some Crater Lake sequins finish off the card.

LIFE DOESN'T HAVE TO BE PERFECT TO BE BEAUTIFUL

Hi friends!  Happy Saturday!  I've got another card to share today using the Under the Umbrella Die and the April Showers Stamp set.  I die cut the umbrella using white card stock and used direct to paper to color the handle using Aquatini ink.  I then die cut another umbrella using Aquatini Prints paper pack and trimmed off the handle.  I then glued the patterned piece over top the white die cut.  I love that the pattern looks like falling rain.

I then stamped some clouds & raindrops using twilight ink around the card base.  I stamped the sentiment using midnight ink and then I used my embossing mat in my big shot to emboss the outline of the clouds with the coordinating dies.  I love that added bit of texture.

COLOR HUES #16 - YELLOW & GREY

Hi friends!  Welcome to my post for Color Hues Challenge #16!  This time we are challenging you to use Yellow & Grey for your card or project.

I used the gorgeous Trellis Cover Plate Die in white to create some texture on my background.  I love doing this on clean & simple cards.  It adds so much.  I stamped and die cut the rose and leaves from Papertrey Ink's Rosie Posie stamp set.

For added interest, instead of just having a circle die cut, I created a circle ring so more of that background could show through the circle.  I curved the sentiment from Papertrey ink to fit on the circle and stamped.

RAINBOW RAINDROPS!

Hi friends!  How about some rainbow raindrops for this rainy day here in CT?!  I absolutely LOVE these patterned raindrops from Catherine's April Showers Bring...Collection.  The stamp set is called Pitter Patterns, so fun!!!

When I saw the new sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches I knew it would be perfect for the raindrops.  I also had to add some Sparkling Snow embossing glitter to the clouds.  They look so much better in real life.

APRIL SHOWERS BRING AVAILABLE TODAY FOR STAMPNATION MEMBERS!!!

Hi friends!  Happy Tuesday!  The April Showers Bring...Collection is available today at Noon EDT for StampNation members.  It will be available tomorrow at 9am for everyone!

My card today features the adorable Hedgehog from the Puddle Play stamp set.

How stinkin' cute is he with his little umbrella?!!!  I stamped a row of the hedgehogs across my card front using Twilight ink, I then stamped and die cut another one using Midnight ink.  I colored it using different coloring mediums and then popped it up on my card front covering one of the perviously stamped hedgies!

I used some of the Aquatini Prints paper pack to die cut one of the clouds from the April Showers dies and for a strip across the bottom.  I white heat embossed the sentiment on a strip of black card stock.  I stamped the rain drops using Twilight ink as well.
