Pick-a-pattern peek & Get well soon

Hi everyone!
Back in April of 2014, we did a mini-event on StampNation called "Pick-a-Pattern".  This week's challenge is to Pick-a-Pattern.  I don't know about you all, but I tend to hoard my patterned paper.

Here's a peek at the DT's cards.

Can you guess which one is mine?

I hope you will join the fun over at StampNation!

I have another card to share with you today using some more goodies from Catherine's Spring Fling release.

I started my card by die cutting a circle from a piece of card stock.  I then stamped the tall flower from the Beautiful You stamp set around the circle.  I curved it on my clear block so it would stamp around the circle.  I then took the small flower stamp and stamped that around the "wreath" in rainbow order.  The black circle in the center of the flowers was stamped using one of the tiny dot stamps in the Perfect Reason stamp set.  I then took that panel and lined it up over a card base to see where to stamp the get well soon sentiment from Beautiful You.  I adhered the stamped "wreath" panel to the card base with dimensionals.  I added a little black and white twine bow to finish off my card.

Thank you for visiting and have a great day!

Stamps:  Beautiful You & Perfect Reason (Catherine Pooler Designs)

Spring Fling Masculine card

Hi everyone!
I have another card to share today using new goodies that were released on Thursday by Catherine Pooler.  Did you hop along to see all the gorgeousness from the DT?  Click HERE to visit my stop on the hop.

I used all the blue inks that Catherine has available in her store.  It's a Boy (NEW), Fiesta Blue & Something Borrowed.  I stamped the row of dots stamp from the Simply Stated stamp set across my card panel.  Stamping the dots twice in each color.  The die cut sentiment, Happy is also NEW!  I cut 3 from black card stock and layered them on top of each other to add some dimension.  Stamped the birthday sentiment from the Spot On stamp set onto white card stock and trimmed it out.  I think this makes a great clean & simple masculine birthday card, what do you think?
Thank you for stopping by and have a great day!

Stamps:  Simply Stated & Spot On (CP Designs)
Ink:  It's a Boy, Fiesta Blue, & Something Borrowed (CP Designs)
Paper:  White (CP Designs), Black (PTI)
Accessories:  Spot On Sentiment die - Happy (CP  Designs)

Along with the inks, she has the following new items available:

  • a floral stamp set
  • and a background stamp!!!

My first card today uses the new Circle dies, one of the Spot On Sentiment dies and the tiny flower and leave stamp from the Simply Stated stamp set.  The ink colors I used are Bellini, It's a Boy, Mint to Be and Midnight.  The sentiment "happy birthday" is from the previously released Spot On stamp set.

A close up so you can see the embossed circles.

This card features the Dotted Circle dies and Simply Stated stamp set.  I used all the new ink colors on this card.  I love the line of dots stamp that comes in this set as well as this congratulations stamp.  I was on an "embossing with dies" kick when creating with these new goodies.

Catherine Pooler Spring Fling Sneak Peek & StampNation Challenge Peek!

Hi everyone!
Tomorrow is the day, Catherine Pooler is releasing 8 new ink colors and some awesome new stamps & dies.  The Dream Team will be participating in a blog hop tomorrow to celebrate the occasion.  BUT, today I get to share one of the cards I made using some of the new goodies.  YAY!

I absolutely love the new ink color Pixie Dust, that is what I used to stamp the Happy from the previously released Spot On stamp set.  The Birthday sentiment is from a new set called Simply Stated.  See the embossed circles around the sentiment?  Yes, new circle dies are also being released that match the Spot On stamp set.  WOOT!!!!

There is ONE more ink left that has to be revealed!  Play along HERE!

Hint: The mystery ink is NOT in the correct spot in the rainbow order!!! :)

Here is a peek of the DT's cards for the weekly challenge over at StampNation.

Absolutely love the colors in the mood board that was the inspiration for the challenge.

Glass Bead Glitter Gel, Color Bursts & Stencils

Hi everyone!
Happy Friday!
Today I have a couple of cards to share with you using a new to me product called Glass Bead Glitter Gel by Faber Castell.  The StampNation Dream Team was lucky enough to get a huge box of amazing goodies from Faber Castell and the Glass Bead Glitter Gel was one of the products in my box.  It is so fun to work with and adds some amazing shine to your projects.  Thank you SO much Faber Castell!

For this card I used the Glass Bead Glitter Gel, spread it over my stencil, then applied some Ultramarine Blue Color Burst over the whole thing.  I then spritzed with water to get the color bursts moving and blending.  I have to give credit to the amazing Ingrid for this fun technique.  She shared a video recently over on StampNation and I knew I had to try it out.  Thanks, Ingrid!

This card uses the same technique, but masked off the stenciled portion so it is a one layer card with the sentiment popped up.  I used Alizarin Crimson Color Burst powder on this one.  The sentiment stamps are from the Spot On stamp set in the Foundations Box by Catherine Pooler.  I used Lil' Inkers stitched circle dies to cut out the happy sentiment.

I am adding these over at Seize the Birthday: Anything goes.

Thank you for visiting and have a great day!

I don't need a reason....

Hi Friends!
Happy Saturday!  I am stopping in quickly this morning with a couple more cards I made using The Perfect Reason Stamp of Approval.

I am just in love with this peacock.  I have popped up the wing to add a bit of dimension.  Every other part of the peacock is stamped directly onto the panel.  The sentiment was stamped on a scrap piece of cardstock and then trimmed into a banner and popped up using dimensional adhesive.

This card uses the fun circles stamp in the Everyday Mod stamp set and the awesome sentiment from the You did it stamp set.

That is all from me today.  Thank  you for visiting and have a great day!

Essentials by Ellen Pin- Sights Challenge - Guest Designer!

Hi everyone!
I am super excited to be a Guest Designer for this month's Essential's by Ellen Pin-Sights Challenge!

The Essentials by Ellen Pin-Sights challenge is a monthly inspirational challenge based on a Pinterest Inspired photo.  Full info and details located on the CLASSroom blog.  Look at this gorgeous photo collage!!!

Here is my card...

I stamped and embossed in silver the deer from the Season to Sparkle stamp set from watercolor card stock.  I then smooshed some Aquatini ink onto a clear block and watercolored the deer using a water brush.  I then die cut 3 more deer and layered them on top of one another to give dimension.  The sentiment is also stamped and embossed using the silver embossing powder.

I absolutely LOVE the Stitches Cover plate.  It gives a subtle, but unique texture to the card base.  So awesome!!!

I hope you are inspired and play along with us!

Thank you for visiting and have a great day!
