Christmas card

Hi everyone!
Happy Friday!   I have a quick Christmas card to share with you all today.
I was totally inspired by this gorgeous card by Lydia.

I have been on a Christmas card making kick lately!  Thank goodness, I hadn't made a Christmas card in what seemed like forever.  I know if I don't start now, I will be scrambling come Oct.  I am trying to make at least 4 of the same design, just changing up colors. This card is an easy one to do just that.

The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink and the snowflakes are from CAS-ual Fridays for the SOA Holiday Magic Collection.  The Merry Label Die is also from CAS-ual Fridays for the SOA Candy Cane Lane collection.  The Catherine Pooler ink colors I used are It's a Boy and Something Borrowed.

I am adding this over at Christmas Card Challenges.

Thank you for visiting and have a great day!

Gelatos for Masterclasses

Hi everyone!
The first video was posted over on StampNation for the Masterclasses!

StampNation is bringing you a series of Masterclasses, each focusing on a different topic and taught by master teachers in the industry.

Each Masterclass will consist of:
  • Video tutorials from industry experts
  • Hosted challenges (and prizes!)
  • Live Members-only chats with the designers and companies
Sounds like a fun summer, right?!!!

I was so inspired, I just had to get out my gelatos by Faber-Castell and play with one of the ten techniques that were shared in the first video.

I have played a bit with my gelatos, but have never tried this technique.  It's a fun and very easy one to do.  Want to find out how to do it?  Join StampNation today!

I am adding this over at the Calling All Sistahs Encouragement challenge!  I was inspired by the paint splatters in the photo. :)

Thank you for visiting and have a great day!

Snowmen Christmas card

Hi everyone!
Happy Monday!

I have a Christmas card to share today.  I am playing along with the challenge at StampNation.  This week's challenge was to use a snowman on your Christmas card.  I haven't made a Christmas card in a while and don't want to be scrambling when it is time to send them out.

I searched through my stash and found some snowmen stamps.  I stamped them in a row, using Archival ink onto Bristol cardstock so I could color in their hats and scarves with Zig Clean Color Brush Markers.  How cute are they in their rainbow hats?  :)  I couldn't capture it in the photo, but I added some glitter to the brims of their hats for some shine.

While I had the supplies out I made 4 of these.  Same design, just colored their hats different colors.

Here is one in traditional green and red.

I am also going to add one of these over at Christmas Card Challenges

Before you go, I wanted to share a bit of excitement that is going to be happening this summer over at StampNation!!!!!

Father's Day Card

Hi everyone!  When I saw this card by my good friend Maureen, I knew I needed to CASE it.

I didn't stray too much from Mo's design.  I changed the colors, sentiment and I placed my stamping in the center of the card instead of off to the side like Mo did.  I didn't add any extras onto my card.  I also made one using Rockin' Red in place of Something Borrowed.  Thank you for the inspiration, Maureen!

Thank you for visiting and have a great day!

Birthday Wishes

Hi everyone!

I have a couple more cards to share with you today using some of the goodies from the SOA Naturally Inspired collection which has SOLD OUT!  WOW!  You all love this collection.

I sure hope you were on the Wait List and grabbed your collection.  The stamps/dies etc...will be available (fall/winter) for individual sale in Catherine's store.

I am loving the images in the Wild Garden stamp set and today I added a bit of color to a few of them.  After inking my green leaves, I spritzed with water to give a water colored look.  I couldn't resist adding a few silhouette images.

To add a bit of sparkle, I stamped and heat embossed the butterfly images using the Wanderlust embossing powder.  They look amazing in real life.  So hard to capture in the photo.

Another clean and simple card using the Wild Garden stamp set and the coordinating dies.  The dies are an add on item and are sold out already, BUT they are on order and will be available soon.

Thank you for visiting and have a great day!

SOA Naturally Inspired - Wait List Release Day

Hi everyone!  If you are on the Stamp of Approval wait list, it's release day!  I hope you signed up!  The collection goes on sale to the public tomorrow.  YAY!!!

To kick off the wait list release day, I am sharing this fun card using the Simply the Best stamp set.  This card could easily be mass produced in many different color schemes.  I used It's a Boy and Bellini.  You could also kick this up a notch and fussy cut the banners and pop those up.  So many options here.

My next card features the Medallion Mix-up & Simply the Best stamp sets.  Think of all the color possibilities for this card too?!!!  I used It's a Girl and Bellini.

I look forward to seeing all of your creations with this collection.  Thank you for visiting and have a great day!

You're the Best!!!

Hi everyone!  Did you get a chance to hop along the SOA Natually Inspired Blog hops yesterday and Sunday?  Click here to visit my blog hop post yesterday and then head on over to Catherine's blog where she will have the blog hop lists for each day.

I still have more cards to share with you all.  This one features the Medallion Mix-up Stamp set, the Best & Spiro Doily die and the Simply the Best stamp set.

I stamped the image in rainbow order, then cut the spiro doily from vellum.  I stamped You're the from the Simply the Best stamp set onto the vellum and glued the die cut best onto the vellum.  I was able to hide the glue behind the best die.

You could re-make this card using a different color scheme to get a totally different look.

I hope you are inspired and I can't wait to see all the different cards popping up all over blog land and Instagram using this collection.  I think that is my favorite part.  :)

Thank you for visiting and have a great day!

The Naturally Inspired Stamp of Approval Blog Hop Day 2 & Giveaway

Hi everyone!
Welcome to day 2 of the Naturally Inspired Collection blog hop!  You should have arrived here from Deepti's blog.   The complete list is below if you get lost along the way.

The collection goes up for sale on Wednesday, June 7th at 10am.  StampNation members that are on the wait list will be notified first (a perk of being a member!) and then the rest of the wait list will be notified.

**The box is only available while supplies last.**
Make sure that you are on the Wait List to be notified when it is available.

The box contains products that can be used together to create many different cards.  They can also be used along with products you already have in your supplies!  Awesome!!  I have had a blast creating cards using this collection.

One thing that keeps me "Naturally Inspired" is nature.  I am always amazed at the amazing ways God blesses us with His creativity, using sunrises, sunsets and all the amazing colors during the different seasons!
If you follow my blog and know me well, you know I love rainbows, there is just something about all the bright colors together side by side.  I just love that.

Now onto my cards...My first card features the Wild Garden & Birds of a Feather Stamp set.

I absolutely LOVE using the images in the Wild Garden stamp set as silhouettes.  Especially, stamped over a sponged sunset background.  I only used three of the 9 images in the set.  I can see myself reaching for this set over and over again.  I thought the sentiment from the Birds of a Feather stamp set went well with my little scene.

My second card features the Medallion Mix-up & Simply the Best stamp sets.

The Medallion Mix-up stamp set is a big one, with SO many options for creating amazing medallions in many different colors.  I fell in love with the biggest one.  I love that it can be the focal point of your card, yes, it's that big.  I stamped the best right over top of the stamped medallions and created a fun border using the diamond stamp in the Simply the Best stamp set.

It's now time to start hopping along, but before you go make sure to leave a comment on each stop along the hop letting us know what inspires you?
One winner will be chosen at random from EACH day's comments and announced on June 9th on Catherine's blog.  The winners will win their box and if you have already purchased it, you will be issued a Gift Certificate worth $100 towards a future purchase.

Thank you for visiting and happy hopping!  :)
