STAMPNATION WEEKEND COLOR CHALLENGE

Hi friends!  Happy Saturday!  I was inspired yet again by the weekend color challenge posted on the StampNation FB page.  I am always in need of birthday cards so I went for a simple birthday card using all the colors.  What a fun color combo, right?!

This one uses the Party collection of inks and my next one uses the Spa collection.  I had all my supplies out why not make more than one card at a time.

I love the different look you can achieve by just switching out the Party collection to the Spa collection!

I will add one of these over at Seize the Birthday.

Thank you for visiting and have a great day!

WATERCOLORING WITH STENCILS

Hi friends!  I have a couple Christmas cards to share with you all today that were inspired by the Stencil pARTy class over on StampNation.  Ingrid shared a fun watercoloring with stencils technique.  I thought this stencil by Tim Holtz was the perfect stencil for this technique!

This technique allowed me to watercolor the poinsettias in one color and the leaves another color without having to do any masking.

Another one using blue ink for the Poinsettias.  I love how these turned out and I have 2 more Christmas cards to add to my stash!

Adding one of these over at Addicted to Stamps and More: Holiday.

Thank you for visiting and have a great day!

MOM YOU ARE ONE IN A MILLION

Hi friends!  Happy Friday!  Have you hopped along the Instagram and blog hops for Catherine's new Tropical Treasures release?

  • You can start the Instagram hop HERE!
  • You can start the Blog hop HERE!
  • There is also a video hop starting today, you can start that HERE!

There are prizes being offered, just sayin'!

I have another card to share with you today using the stamp set from the Mother's Day Bundle!

I started this card by creating my frame using one of the stitched rectangles from the Postage Stamp Dies.  I then masked off the sides and top of a card base so that when I stamped the floral image onto my card base using Twilight ink it would not go outside my frame.

I then stamped the sentiment and used direct to paper to create the colored mom die cut.  I adhered the frame with foam tape for some dimension and added the sequins and twine.  I am planning on making more of these and just switching out the sentiment to a birthday sentiment or a sympathy setiment.

I am going to add this over at STAMPlorations CAS card challenge: Anything Goes.

I am also adding it over at The Flower Challenge.

Thank you for visiting and have a great day!

TROPICAL TREASURES RELEASE BLOG HOP & GIVEAWAY!!!

Hi everyone!  Welcome to the Tropical Treasures release blog hop for Catherine Pooler Designs.    The Creative Team is sharing projects to introduce you to the new items.

My two cards feature the amazing Pineapples & Smiles stamp set

I stamped and white heat embossed the pineapple image, used the coordinating die to cut it out.  I then ink blended with rainbow colors on the pineapple die cut.  To add a bit more dimension to the triangles, I used my blender pen and ink to color them in using the coordinating colors.

After the ink blending was complete, I stamped and gold heat embossed the top of the pineapple.  I then white heat embossed the sentiment from Hex Marks the Spot stamp set (more on that set in the coming days).  I then stamped the same pineapple image twice onto a piece of white card stock.  I adhered the colored pineapple with dimensional adhesive and added a black and white twine bow.  I mounted this all on a piece of black card stock and then onto a white card base.

For this card, I stamped the other pineapple image using Aquatini and Flirty Fuschia ink.  I absolutely LOVE the color this creates when combined!!!  After stamping I spritzed with some shimmer spray to add a bit of sparkle.  I love the water marks this created.

I sponged with Midnight ink through the Wonky Triangle stencil to create "ground" for my pineapple.  I then stamped the sentiment and added the pineapple with the black and white twine bow.

TROPICAL TREASURES RELEASE AVAILABLE NOW!!!

Hi friends!  The Tropical Treasures release by Catherine & the individual items from the Tropically Yours Stamp of Approval Collection are available now!  Click HERE to start shopping!

Today is the Instagram Hop.  You can start here.

I used one of the 2 new Cover Plates Catherine released.  This one is called Chevron Divide.  I am in LOVE with this cover plate!  It is so awesome!

I paired it with the One in a Million Mom Floral stamp set, which I am also in LOVE with.  ;)  I colored the flowers with Copics.

This time I paired it with this gorgeous rainbow pineapple from the Pineapples & Smiles stamp set & I left some of the bits in the die.

See the shine on the pineapple?  After I was done inking I stamped with versamark over the whole image and used clear embossing powder.  I love the shine this gives to the pineapple.  How fun is the sentiment font too?!  LOVE!

Make sure you hop along the Instagram hop and leave comments for your chance to win a $25 Gift Certificate to Catherine's store and come back tomorrow for the blog hop for more chances to win!

HOPE YOUR DAY IS AWESOME!!!

Hi everyone!  Just popping in quickly today to share another card using the Cottage Garden Background stamp, Awesome & Wonderful stamp set and the Blowing Bubbles Border die.

I stamped the background stamp using Twilight ink onto white card stock.  I love the subtle background this creates.  Stamping in the light gray ink helps make the sentiment pop.  I stamped the biggest awesome sentiment using Aquatini ink.  I then stamped the smaller awesome sentiment over top with Midnight ink.

I then trimmed down this piece and added a small strip of silver glitter paper at the bottom.  The blowing bubbles border die looks amazing sticking out the bottom of this card!!!  I added some black and white twine to the top and my card is finished.

I am adding this over at Time Out Challenges where they are celebrating their 5th Birthday!

Also popping this over at Happy Little Stampers Monthly Challenge.

Thank you for visiting and have a great day!
