ShowCASe your Style #18: Color

Hi everyone!
Time for another challenge at showCASe your style.
This week we have a color challenge for you.

 Here is my card...

I started by stamping the circles from Circles, Circles, Circles stamp set in random blues down the front of my card.  After it was filled in to my liking I cut a strip to fit on either side of my stamping.  Added those with dimensional adhesive.  Stamped the Thanks from Thanks a Million using an Ombre ink pad.  Trimmed it out and attached it across the two panels.  Added some blue & sparkly clear sequins to embellish.

We'd love to see your card inspired by the colors!
Thank you for visiting and have a great day!

Stamps:  Circles, Circles, Circles, Thanks a Million (Clearly Whimsy Stamps)
Ink:  Aqua Mist, Smoky Slate, Tempting Turquoise, Hawaiian Shores, Tropical Teal

Masculine birthdays

Happy Friday everyone!
I am sharing a couple more cards inspired by the Manly Motifs Mood Board
in the Online Card Class, "In The Mood"!

This card was inspired by the row of birch trees.
Here is another simpler card.

This mood board surely helped get my mojo flowing to create some masculine cards.  I struggle with masculine cards but this mood board helped a ton.  There were so many things to be inspired by, it is amazing!

I will add these both over at Uniko Studios and Seize the Birthday.

Thank you for visiting and have a great day!

Stamps:  Keep it Simple: Birthday (PTI)
Ink:  Early Espresso

The Card Concept #38

Hi friends!
It is time for another fabulous challenge at The Card Concept!
Before I get to my card I want to let you all know this will be my last card as DT member for The Card Concept.  I want to thank Lesley for the opportunity to be on her DT.  I have enjoyed creating with the other amazing and talented ladies as well.

This week we hope you are inspired by the photo below and the colors.

For my Clean & Simple card I created an inlaid design using stitched circle dies from Lil' Inker Designs.  After cutting out the circle I stamped on it using a stamp set from Papertrey Ink.  I then glued it back into the circle and stamped my sentiment in Smoky Slate ink.

Stop over to The Card Concept blog to see what the other girls have created in all of the different styles.  I just love this challenge just for this reason!  It's great to see all the different takes on one inspiration photo.

Thank you for visiting and have a great day!

Two cards

Hi everyone!
Playing along again with Muse: Christmas Visions.
this beautiful inspiration card is by Betty Wright.

I tried and tried to use a reindeer on my card but it just wasn't working the way I wanted it to so I went in a different direction.  I was inspired by the colors and the image above the sentiment on Betty's card.

I created the background using Mermaid Lagoon Distress inks and a stencil from Istencils.  I had this image stamped in black on white sitting on my desk.  I grabbed it and it worked perfectly on my card.  I sponged Mermaid Lagoon ink onto my main card panel so the blues would match perfectly.
My second card was inspired by the Manly Motifs Mood Board in the new online card class,

I was inspired by the deer heads, the sleek frames and the map image on the wall.  So much to be inspired from in this mood board.  I will be sharing one more card inspired by this board in the coming days.

***Before you go the winners have been announced HERE on Catherine's blog for the 10 free spots in the class.  Congratulations to the lucky winners, were you one of them?***

Thank you for visiting and have a great day!
