Hi friends. Another Christmas card to share. ;) I had this left over snowflake sitting on my desk and thought it needed to be put on a card before it got lost. The sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches helped me out tremendously along with CASology's cue word: RED.
My second card for you today is for this weeks challenge at Seize the Birthday.
The challenge was to make a masculine card using this sketch.
I
created my own DSP using the stamps from The Open Sea! I love this set
for masculine cards. I offset my circle a bit on purpose to showcase
the anchor in the corner. :)
Thank you for visiting and have a great day!

ReplyDeleteExcellent cards both, Kristie! Of course I LOVE that red one - that ef is one of my faves, and the whole card just shouts WOW!! And you always make the coolest masculine cards. You've totally nailed both sketches, too! TFS!
ReplyDeleteFabulous cards! Especially love your red card! The white snowflake is so striking!
ReplyDeleteThe embossed red background is so striking on your first card and your second card is so cool! I have the hardest time making masculine cards and I have coined them on my blog as "the dreaded Man card". Wonderful creations!
ReplyDeleteIsn't it great how that snowflake just happened to work for the Freshly Made sketch? And the nautical card is definitely masculine. Good job on both.
ReplyDeleteYou have done some terrific work here Kristie! I love that snowflake peeking out, how clever and the masculine birthday card is perfect for our challenge this week! Love the background stamping on it! Thanks for joining us at Seize the Birthday!
ReplyDeleteOh my! I'm drooling over that embossed background!! It goes so perfectly with your leftover snowflake! Gotta love it when you find a use for little leftovers like that! :) Love all that glorious red and the little details you added!

ReplyDeleteThis is a beautiful Christmas card, Kristie! And I love what you did for the birthday card! What a wonderful way to use that set!
ReplyDeleteThe texture and boldness of the first card is awesome! I love that you created your own patterned paper in the second card. Great design!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great embossing folder to use with your snowflake on your first card! It's so dense that it reads as a solid too. Both great cards!
ReplyDeleteWow, you've been busy..great cards. I love the background you stamped..it's perfect. Thanks for joining us this week at Seize the Birthday.
ReplyDeleteThey are both beautiful, Kristie, but your masculine STB? If that doesn't win...! I am so putting it in my faves as I have that set and LOVE this!!
