Cas-ual Fridays Birthday Bash Hop!!

Hi everyone!  I am so excited to be part of the blog hop to celebrate Cas-ual Fridays 3rd birthday!

 
If you are following along in the hop, you should have arrived here from the talented Julia Altermann's blog.  If not head on over to the Cas-ual Fridays Stamps Blog to start from the beginning. 

My card for today uses Wallflower, Christmas Carols & Bold Wishes for the sentiment.  I also use the 4 Petal Set Fri-Dies.


I started by stamping & embossing with clear embossing powder, the rows of petals from Wallflower stamp set at an angle.  I then blended Peacock Feathers & Picked Raspberry Distress inks over top and created a beautiful purple in the middle where the colors overlapped.  I then took another piece of card stock and cut it at an angle, stamped the line and dots stamp from Christmas Carols.  I then stamped the sentiment from Bold Wishes.  I used the 4 petal fri-die to cut two petals.  One in black and one in white.  On the white one I used the same distress inks to add color.  The center was created using my black Pico embellisher.  The sentiment panel was added with fun foam on the back for a little dimension.

    This is sooooo cool! Beautifully blended inking over the stamped/embossed images packs a whole lot of 'kapow wow' punch! Love all the white space at the bottom of your card!
