HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Hi friends!  Happy Saturday!  I've got a fun birthday card to share with you all today using the Birthday Cake Remix stamp set.  I didn't use the Dotted Burst background stamp on this card, I forgot to take it out of the picture.  OOPS!  :)

For this cake design, I die cut the pieces of the cake.  On the top and bottom cake pieces I ink blended some Fiesta Blue ink onto each piece fading to white at the top of each one.  I stamped the sentiment on the bottom piece using midnight ink.  The center piece was stamped with the swirl image using white embossing powder and then I sponged some Orange Twist ink onto that piece.  The swirl image resists the ink and stays white.

I stamped some of the little swirly images behind the cake before attaching it using Twilight ink.  I glued all of the pieces onto a small strip of scrap paper before adhering it to my card base that has a strip of Black Tie Gala at the bottom to ground the cake.
