Masculine birthday

Hi friends.  How is your weekend so far?  I hope it has been excellent.  I created this CAS masculine card for two challenges.  I am so excited when I can work with 2 challenges at once and they come together perfectly.  I used the colors from 10 Minute Craft Dash and the sketch from CAS(E) this Sketch!

I finished this card in:

I used my little star punch to create the border under the sentiment, this would have been much quicker if I had a strip of stars die but I don't.  :)  I still got it finished in plenty of time.

This card was my first attempt and I loved everything about it except for the punched out star.  I should NOT have punched it out.  UGH!!!  Hence the first card you see.  :)

Thank you for visiting and have a great day!

Cardstock:  Crumb cake, Old Olive, Chocolate chip
Stamps:  Stylish Sentiments (PTI)
Ink:  Old Olive, Chocolate Chip
Accessories:  Star punch

  1. Perfect colours for a masculine card, Kristie ... funny how we're our own worst critics ... a small chuckle escaped when I read your description of the star cutout ... only because I don't think any of your cards could ever be described as ugh! Anita :)

  2. Too funny...I think we all do that make one version, set it aside and make another one we like better. I love how you made the shadow effect on the happy!

  3. This is a fabulous masculine card. I will pin it, and I figure I could make it in about an hour! Kudos to you for less than 10 minutes. I would have liked the second version if that was all I saw, but I do agree that your first is better.

  12. Don't you just hate it when everything is going well and then you have one misplaced stamp or punch!! I do love the addition of the star border. Thanks for joining us at CAS(E) this Sketch!

  13. Kristie, you are too funny. I actually don't think the second card is "bad" at all! I know I'm my worst critic, so I totally understand what you're saying though!

You rocked both of these colors so perfectly. Seeing all of the stars for this challenge has made me want to break out my new (still unused) star die
    cuts!

Thank you so much for taking the time to play in this 10 Minute Craft Dash. Hope to see you for the next one! :)
