COLOR HUES #46 - SPECIAL TRIBUTE (BLUE & PURPLE)

Hi friends!  We are deeply saddened to share the news that we lost our treasured friend and teammate, Lindsey, last week, following her hard-fought battle with cancer. Lindsey was well-known for her amazing creativity, witty sense of humor and immense capacity to support and encourage her design team members and challenge participants.  The crafting community will miss her shining light.

 Today's color challenge was chosen by Lindsey.  We want to honor and celebrate her beautiful, creative life by sharing "Lindsey Inspired" projects using her Blue and Purple combination, along with things she loved the most, as inspiration. We hope you will join us as we pay tribute to our dear friend and teammate.

If you are a regular here at Color Hues and/or Seize the Birthday you might know that Lindsey loved Clean and Simple cards too. 

To honor Lindsey, I created a Clean & Simple card with a friendship sentiment.  I started my card by ink blending some versamark ink through the Circle Burst stencil and applying Silver Pearl Embossing Powder over top.  I heat set that and set it aside to work on the rest of my card.  I swiped the blue and purple inks onto a scrap piece of card stock and then stamped and white heat embossed the circle stamp and sentiment.  

I adhered the circle sentiment over top the embossed stenciled piece and then adhered that to my card along with some Crater Lake Sequins.
