Hi everyone! Happy Sunday! Today is Day 2 of the SOA Winterhaven Collection Blog Hops. I am not officially "on" today, but I have more cards to share with you all. You can start today's hop over on Catherine's blog.
Did you hop along yesterday?! Click HERE to see my blog post and hop along for your chance to win the collection!
This card features the Ornamental Background stamp and Here We Come A-Caroling.
For this card I used a technique called Joseph's Coat. If you have never heard of this technique I will try to explain it to you. Start by cutting a piece of water color card stock, watercolor the panel using ink colors in rainbow order. I just did thinish stripes of each color until I filled the panel. Let dry completely or heat completely with your heat tool.
Stamp and emboss using clear embossing powder over the rainbow watercolored panel. After embossing has cooled down a bit, sponge over entire panel with black ink. The clear embossing resists the ornaments to allow the amazing rainbow colors to shine through. Awesome, right?! I haven't done this technique in ages. It is so fun!
We are also still going strong over on StampNation with WCMD 2017. Two more challenges will be posted today.
Here is a peek at my card for Alaska's challenge.

I was inspired to create a similar card using the same supplies.
The challenge was to use embossing or texture paste, whipped spackle or any product that is fluffly like snow. For the happy birthday card, I used translucent embossing paste on the panel behind the star. It was really hard to get a good picture of it.
Here is a little bit better picture.
To achieve the sparkle on the star I used the amazing Glass Bead Glitter Gel. This stuff is amazing! I applied it after I had sponged the star.
I will add this over at Seize the Birthday: No topping for me.
Thank you for visiting and have a great day!
