Hi everyone!
Have you seen my friend Maureen's, Throwback Thursday posts on the Wplus9 blog? If you haven't you need to check them out. Maureen posts three cards using the same basic layout and design elements and a "throwback" stamp set on the third Thursday of each month. This feature has been turned into a challenge and I couldn't wait to play along. I am a HUGE fan of Maureen's work. We were to use an older Wplus9 set and use any of Maureen's cards as inspiration. I was inspired by her layout and the use of silhouette images.
For my card I used a technique we featured in Technique Toolbox, Creative ways to use dye ink pads: Direct to paper. I used PTI inks in Aqua Mist, Hawaiian Shores and Tropical Teal. I used the set Pretty Patches: Umbrella and matching die. The sweet little heart by the sentiment is from the new set, Sending Sunshine.

My next card was also inspired by Maureen. This time it was her card that she featured in her latest video in The Classroom on StampNation. Her lesson was on Inspiration, Movement & flow. Though I didn't follow her lesson, I was inspired by the circle element and colors on her card.
