Enjoy the ride

Hi friends.  Today's card was inspired by Therese Calvird's card over at the Muse challenge blog.  I really wanted to copy her card exactly because it is so awesome.  I decided to still use stencils and wood pieces on my card though.

I experimented with my wood piece and heat embossed it with Tangerine Tango embossing powder.  I wasn't sure if it would work but it did.  Yay!  The stencil I used is called Stripe Columns by Simon Says Stamp.

I am also going to pop this over at Virginia View's awesome challenge: Stencils.

Thank you for visiting and have a great day!

Cardstock:  Smoky Slate, Whisper White, Basic black
Ink:  Smoky slate, Versamark
Stamps:  Admit One (Lawn Fawn)
Accessories:  Wood Veneer piece, Tangerine Tango embossing powder, Stripe Columns stencil (SSS), Blueprints 13(MFT), white embossing powder

  11. This is spectacular, Kristie!! You should win by a landslide!! And thank you so much for that embossing tip on the wooden embellies!! I knew you could color them with markers, but the ep really looks way cooler! I'm sorry I haven't been around as much. With Easter and company, it will be much the same for a while, but it's all good! Happy Easter to you and your family!! Hugs, Darnell
