Hi friends. I am playing along with this week's sketch over at My Favorite Things. I love it's CAS-ness (I love this word but not sure if it is one). My sistah's over at StampNation completely understood this word and I am sure most of you will too. ;)
After I finished this card, I thought it would make a great masculine card. For the background piece I used Pumpkin Pie ink on my embossing folder and ran it through. Love that look and I don't do it enough.
Another card while I had the same supplies out for Fusion Challenge.
As you can see from my card, I used both the sketch and the photo. :) So happy to see this challenge back again and hope I will have a chance to play again.
Thank you for visiting and have a great day!

ReplyDeleteOooh, NICE!! Great takes on both sketches, and I love how you used the PP in the embossing folder on the first one, which is something I, too, need to do more often! Great guy cards both! And "Cas-ness" is a word if you SAY it's a word. I saw it in the Kristie Dictionary! (I have my own dictionary as well.) Mwah!
ReplyDeleteAmazing cards Kristie!! love them both .. perfection :) a very happy and blessed new year ♥
ReplyDeleteMeant "in the embossing folder on BOTH cards." Der.
ReplyDeleteYep....another bruise on my hip....the result of the the ka-thunk to the floor when I saw these two cards! The inked embossing folder technique is stunning! The deep orange color is such a beautiful and vibrant contrast to the white...love it! Of course, your two perfectly clean and simple designs are the just that....absolutely perfect!!!
ReplyDeleteWOW!! AWESOME Cards!! I LOVE the Color Combo and your takes on the different challenges!! THANKS for sharing and have a Fabulous Week!! =)
ReplyDeleteOh Kristie - I love BOTH of your cards!! You are such a talented lady and I thoroughly enjoy seeing your creations :)
ReplyDeleteBoth of these cards are stunning! I did the inked ef on my Fusion challenge, too, but in a smaller dose. We do need to keep doing that technique.
ReplyDeleteLove the colour combo of these. Think the first one is my favourite, probably because it is slightly more CAS. Happy New Year
ReplyDeleteHi Kristie!! I love the look of the faux letterpress on your background!! Both cards are crisp and clean but definitely have a warm tone to them as well. I simply adore the orange enamel dots on both!!

ReplyDeleteIf CAS-ness isn't a word then it certainly should be! I love those gorgeous backgrounds you created. I've never tried that but I think I need to. Love the different fonts on the first card too.
ReplyDeleteTwo gorgeous cards, Kristie! I'm not normally a Pumpkin Pie fan, but you've used it in just the right amounts :)
ReplyDeleteI love both of these. I think CAS-ness should be a word--at least for all of us card makers. Fantastic job on the fusion. I think this week is a challenging one, and you totally nailed it.
ReplyDeleteKristie...both of your cards are stunning!
ReplyDeleteYour cards both alike and different all at the same time! Love that patterned paper and those stamped circles on the Fusion card. Pretty good word you came up with to describe it all too...CAS-ness. Love that one!
