I want to pop in real quick today to wish all my friends in the U.S. a very Blessed and Happy Thanksgiving.  I truly have so much to be thankful for.  One thing I am very thankful for is each and everyone of you who visit my blog and leave me lovely comments.  I am also very thankful for the friendships I have made through my blog and StampNation.

I pulled the gold and red from the photo and went from there.  I used Maile's card here as inspiration for my layout.   This picture doesn't capture how much this card sparkles.  Thank you for the fun challenge, Monica.

Hi friends.  I am popping in real quick with a card that was inspired by the current sketch at Seize the Sketch and Dawn's Monday Mood Board.

 

 I used a technique Chupa demonstrated in "A Very Trendy Holiday" online card & tag class.  There are lots of great ideas shown in this class.  I would encourage you to check it out.

Merry Monday

Happy Monday friends.  Today's card is for Merry Monday challenge.  I love this week's inspiration photo and challenge.

You can't go wrong with a white on white or in my case, vanilla on vanilla with kraft accents for Christmas.  I also made this exact same card using white for the accent and embossed the sentiment in white embossing powder but when I tried to get a photo of it you couldn't even see the sentiment.  :(  Someday my photography skills will improve so that I can capture that on a card.

Merry Christmas

Hi friends.  I made these two cards for the online card class: Holiday Card Workshop.  This was Day 5: His & Hers Holiday cards.  I used Shari Carroll's sketch from Day 3.  I used the same stamp sets for both cards just changed out the DSP colors.  Pink for Hers, Red for His.

StampNation Design Team Reveal #4

Hi friends!  Today we introduce to you the last, but certainly not least, of our new designers, Iwona Palamountain, aka Chupa from Random Acts of Creativity!   Chupa will be joining the permanent design team at StampNation. She will be writing bimonthly articles in her forum "Technically Speaking", as well as making samples for the SN challenges. We are thrilled and honored to have her aboard!

I have had this stamp in my stash for a long time and I love it.   Here is another card I made from scraps on my desk.  The reindeer is embossed using Smoky Slate embossing powder, hard to see that in the photo.

Hi friends.  Yesterday in class we learned some creative ways to use die cutting on our Holiday cards.   I really love the inlaid die cutting for Christmas cards.  It makes them flat for ease of mailing.

The joy die is inlaid as well as the star in the middle of the "O".  I CASEd a card Maureen made for StampNation's Winterland Celebration last January.

StampNation Trends Article sneak peek

Holiday Card Workshop Day 1

Hi friends.  I am participating in the Online card class and here is my card for the first day.  I CASEd Kristina's design.  The focus was the inside of your card and Kristina made a cool gift card holder out of vellum and washi tape.  I did the same with my card only using glitter tape.

 I am also entering this card over at CASology.  The cue word is Triangle.

Merry Monday Guest Designer

Hi friends!  My first card today is for Festive Friday challenge & Simon Says Wednesday Challenge.  Again, I love these colors for Christmas.   I popped the ornaments up on dimensionals and added glossy accents for shine.  Inspiration came from this photo...

Another card:

This card uses the same colors but a different sketch.  The sketch is from clean&simple.  The tree tops are popped up on dimensionals for added interest.

I made 6 of the first card and 2 of the second card and am going to ship them to the Caring Hearts Card Drive.  Great cause!  I encourage you to check it out.

Blessed Holiday Season

Happy Friday friends!  This card was made for this week's StampNation Challenge, "Gradient Colors".  I had these sequins in gradient colors and thought they would look perfect behind my ornament.  My layout inspiration came from this card by Maureen.
