MORE CHRISTMAS IN JULY!

Hi friends!  I'm back today with a couple more Christmas cards.  Seems like I am getting my Christmas card groove back after making a few cards.  I definitely need to catch up.  I saw a new challenge on Instagram that I wanted to participate in.  It's called Bringing the Cheer Challenge.  This week the challenge is a sketch and those are my favorite.

I used the gorgeous snowflake stamp set by Catherine Pooler and her inks to create my card.  I am trying to use up some of my hoarded patterned paper so I pulled colors from the paper pack to use on the snowflakes.  I love the "glow" I achieved when stamping with a lighter color and then using the Rock N' Roll technique on the edges with the darker color.

Here's another card that follows the sketch, on the first card I switched up sketch by putting the paper on the bottom of the card instead of the top.  Either way, I am still following the sketch.

I used a different sentiment on this one too.  This sentiment comes in the snowflake stamp set.

CHRISTMAS IN JULY!

Hi friends!  Happy Saturday!  I don't know about you, but I have to get started on my Christmas cards for this year.  I am usually way ahead of the game by now.  I saw the sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches and knew I had to make a Christmas card.

I knew I wanted to use patterned paper for my design.  I spotted this piece and knew it was going to work perfectly.  The poinsettia is one of my favorites from Catherine Pooler.  I was not going to waste the pieces that were left of the patterned paper so I created another card.  Why not when you have all your supplies out right?!!!

Here they are side by side.

KUDOS TO YOU

Hi friends!  I'm back today with another one layer card using the awesome Kudos to You stamp set by Catherine.  I love this block sentiment, it's such an encouraging sentiment to send to someone you love.  Would make a great graduation card using school colors.  I used my favorite, rainbow colors to stamp the "party horns" (is that what they are called? I am drawing a blank right now on what they are called!!!)

RAINBOW BIRTHDAY

Hi friends!  Happy Thursday!  I loved using the emboss resist technique on this amazing stack of gifts.  I first stamped and white heat embossed the stack of gifts onto a piece of white card stock.  I then took rainbow colors and my blending tool to blend the rainbow color over top.  After inking was finished, I used a paper towel to wipe off the excess ink from the embossing to bring out the bright white.

I stamped and gold heat embossed the sentiment and added some Vegas Baby sequins to finish off this card.  The strips down the sides were part of the panel I had left after die cutting the rainbow gifts.
