SOA Winterhaven Blog Hop Day 1 & Giveaway

Hi everyone!  Welcome to Day 1 of the Winterhaven Collection Blog Hop!  You should have arrived here from Ardyth's blog.  The complete list is below if you get lost along the way.

The collection goes up for sale on Tuesday, October 10th at 9am to those on the Wait List and then ordering will be open to the public, if the collection hasn't sold out already, at 6pm.

StampNation members that are on the Wait List will be notified first (a little perk of being a member!) and then the rest of the Wait List will be contacted!

**The box is only available while supplies last.**
Make sure that you are on the Wait List to be notified when it is available.

The box contains products that can be used together to create many different cards.  They can also be used along with products you already have in your stash!  Awesome!!  I have had a blast creating with this collection.

My first card features the Here We Come A-Caroling stamp set.

I absolutely LOVE the silhouette images that come in this set.  They look amazing stamped over blended backgrounds like I did here.  See the dog, that is Catherine's dog Eli!  So cute!!!  There is also an adorable squirrel in the set that I have to use soon on a card.  Also, check out the font on that sentiment!  SWOON!!!  There are many other sentiments in this set with the same font.  LOVE!!!

***There are a couple ADD-ON die sets for this collection.  When ordering your box you can add these to your cart as well.
  • Here We Come A-Caroling Dies
  • Tis the Season Dies
My second card features another sentiment from Here We Come A-Caroling, the Ornamental Background stamp, Good Stuff stamp set & dies.

I love that the dies in the Good Stuff die set can be used not only to create amazing tags, but can be used them to create a fun frame for your cards.  Also, the Ornamental Background is amazing stamped on a full card base, but also fun to fussy cut and use individual ones like I did here.  AND another amazing sentiment.  I love this collection and will have more cards to share with you soon.

Its time not to start hopping along, BUT before you go, make sure you leave comments on each stop along the way for your chance to win!  Your next stop on the hop is Justine!

One winner will be chosen at random from EACH day's comments and announced on October 11th on Catherine's blog.  The winners will win their box and if you have already purchased it, you will be issued a Gift Certificate worth $100 towards a future purchase.

WCMD 2017 - StampNation

Hi everyone!  We kicked off the first challenge for WCMD 2017 over on StampNation this morning.  We have challenges being posted all weekend long.  The theme for this years WCMD event is following a world traveler who has journaled her travels around the world.

Each challenge is based on her journal entry.  We will be traveling to Canada, Spain, & Australia, just to name a few.

Her first stop is Canada.  The challenge is to be inspired by the gorgeous scenery found in the Canadian Rockies and create a scene on your card.

Here's a peek at my card..

Members can view the challenge here.

I created another card to share here on my blog using the same supplies.

I am in love with this mountain stamp by Papertrey Ink.  Makes great masculine cards.

I hope you will join us over on StampNation for WCMD!  There are lots of prizes up for grabs, but you have to be a member to play and win.  Look at this amazing line up of sponsors!

Thank you SO much sponsors!!  We are so grateful for YOU all!!!

I am adding this over at Seize the Birthday, no topping for me.

Thank you for visiting and have a great day!

Joy to the World

Hi everyone!  I was inspired to create this card after seeing the sketch over at CAS(E) this Sketch! & the challenge over at Merry Monday!  I haven't played over at Merry Monday in a long time so thought it was time as Christmas is fast approaching.

I am still in love with this crooky tree.  It is so easy to stamp.

Here is the sketch I followed, I flipped it!

AND the graphic at Merry Monday!

Also, the new Stamp of Approval collection is going to be releasing soon!  SO excited!  The DT has been posting peeks over on Instagram.  Have you seen any?  Catherine also sent out an email with some sneak peeks of my cards!  I can't wait to share them all with you!

Color Throwdown

Hi everyone!  I was inspired to use the colors for this week's Color Throwdown challenge & the fox.

This fox from the Stylized Autumn stamp set is my all time favorite.  I am also loving the pattern behind the circle.  That is the Lattice Frame Die from the SOA Naturally Inspired collection and will be up for sale in Catherine's shop real soon.

I will be back soon with another card using this color combo.

Thank you for visiting and have a great day!

Harleen Christmas & WCMD

Hi everyone!  I am back today with a couple more cards to share with you using the Harleen stencil.  I posted here about making some Christmas cards similar to the birthday cards I created.  I added a bit of sparkle to these though.

This first one is the exact same layout and design as the birthday cards, I just switched out the colors and sentiment.   I did add the twine at the top and also used Glass Bead Glitter Gel over the green sponged diamonds.  This reminds me of the bottom of an elf's skirt.  :)

This one I decided to place the stencil on an angle and add the Glass Bead Glitter Gel over the red.  The red got muted quite a bit and looks a little pink now.  Next time I will mix some red re-inker in with the Glass Bead Glitter Gel to get a true red.  I like how they turned out though.

I am adding one of these over at Christmas Card Challenges.

Also playing over at HLS October CAS Challenge.

I am SO excited for our big WCMD 2017 event over on StampNation.  It is always a fun time with lots of challenges and prizes!  Here is a little peek...
