Hi friends!  Welcome to my post for Color Hues Challenge #10! This time we are challenging you to use Navy & Cream for your card or project.

Unfortunately, I've needed some more sympathy cards and this is a great color combo for those cards.  I stamped the background stamp from My Favorite Things onto a Very Vanilla Card base.  I then die cut a rectangle from the center of another piece of Vanilla card stock to create a window.

I die cut the leaf from the Perfect Vines Die by Catherine and tucked it into the side of the opening.

To add a bit of texture to the die cut, I stenciled some circles using Juniper Mist ink.  The sentiment is from Thoughtful Phrases.

I hope you'll be sure to check out the fabulous designs from the team & play along with us

Thank you for visiting and have a great day!

  1. Another fabulous card, Kristie! Although I'm sorry of your need, I think it makes a great sympathy card. I love how you used the background image inside the window.

  2. So very pretty. Love the frame design and the subtle dots on the branch. And I see these colours sent us in the same direction!

  3. This is a perfect sympathy card--not the easiest of cards to make. Your design is so classy!

  4. What a beautiful sympathy card Kristie. They are never easy to make that is for sure and I hate that we have to have them in our stash. I love the color combo for this one though. Perfect for the challenge. Hugs, Brenda

  5. What a pretty card! Simple and elegant.

  6. These colors do make great sympathy cards and this one is so pretty! That background is awesome! Always such a pleasure to see what you have done each time! Take care!

  7. Love this design and it's perfect with these colors!
