Hi friends! Have you heard the awesome news???!!! Catherine Pooler Designs has teamed up with Ken Oliver to create a set of Color Bursts that match 4 of her wildly popular ink colors from the Carnivale Collection.
Say hello to the new COLOR BURSTS!!! This 6 pack includes FOUR Color Burst colors and TWO Sparkles in Samba, Limoncello, Mardi Gras and Suede Shoes!
To celebrate this Inky collaboration Catherine is also releasing new backgrounds, cover plates and stencils designed to coordinate with our bursts.
I have a couple cards to share today using the new Color Bursts and the backgrounds. My first card features the new Feelin' Hexy Cover Plate!
I am SO in love with this cover plate! I am a geometric shape fan through and through. I also love that it coordinates with the Hex Marks the Spot stamp set.
I die cut from black card stock and adhered it to my white card base and then I die cut some of the Hexagons from the Cabana Tile Dies and used my Zig Clean Color Brush Markers to water color them.
After the watercolored Hexagons were dry, I stamped and heat embossed using Wanderlust embossing glitter. I used one of the stamps from the Hex Marks the Spot stamp set. I white heat embossed a sentiment from the Note of Thanks stamp set on black card stock and adhered that to my card. I then added some sparkly clear sequins.
My next card features the Color Burst powders & the gorgeous Rizzo Background stamp.
I used the Joseph's Coat technique. I love this technique with this stamp. The color under the clear embossing is from the Limoncello and Sauna Colorburst powders.
I hope you enjoyed my projects today and are inspired! Thank you for visiting and have a great day!

ReplyDeleteI haven't a colorburst in my stash... these might just have to be the firsts!
LOve your clever Hex... and that mandala? Mand-marvelous!

Wow Kristie, love both those cards - love the bold, dramatic look of the hex card, and the mandala is stunning using the Joseph's coat technique.
