TROPICALLY YOURS STAMP OF APPROVAL - DAY 1!!!

Hi everyone!  It's time for another Stamp of Approval Collection by Catherine Pooler!  Today is Blog Hop Day 1!   Although I am not "officially" on the hop today I have a card to share with you all using some of the goodies in the collection.

You can start the blog hop today over on Catherine's blog.

If you’re new to Stamp of Approval – click here to check out everything you need to know about this exclusive collection of stamps, dies and other goodies. All these products were designed specifically for this collection; they are brand new, and while they will be made available at Catherine's store in the future, they won't be available there for many months.
If you are a StampNation member, you get access to order starting on July 17th during our pre-release pajama party.  Not a StampNation member? Make sure you are on the wait list so you get access to the collection at 9 am July 18th,  before the public (at 6 pm). These collections always sell quickly (and often sell out!), so if you're liking what you're seeing on the blog hop, you'll want to ensure that you have an opportunity to get your hands on this collection!

Now onto my project!

My card uses the Tropically Yours stamp set, the Canvas Grunge background stamp, Good Vibes Border stamp and a sentiment from the Stand Tall stamp set.

I started my card by clear embossing the Canvas Grunge background stamp onto a piece of midnight card stock.  I LOVE the subtle texture this gives the midnight card stock.  I then stamped and die cut the hibiscus and leaves.  To add a bit of interest and dimension to the flower, I stamped with It's a Boy ink first then used a finger dauber to ink up the center of the stamp using Something Borrowed ink and then stamped again.  This created the darker center.

This close up photo shows the embossed background a bit better.  After adhering the stamped and embossed background piece, I stamped one of the borders from the Good Vibes Borders stamp set and then adhered the flower and leaves.  Stamped the sentiment and added some black and white twine and that finished off my card.

Catherine is also releasing a new ink color that goes perfectly with the Party Line of inks.  It is also THE PERFECT coral color, in my book.  I just love it.  Make sure you remember to add it to your cart when you are checking out as it is not included in the box this time.

Thank you for visiting and have a great day!

See you again tomorrow with another post.
