Hi friends. This week's Merry Monday challenge is a fun sketch. For my card today I have used what some people call Ghost Stamping. My friend Catherine did a video over at StampNation and I was so inspired, I just had to try it with snowflakes and the sketch allowed me to do just that. If you have never heard of Ghost Stamping it is basically stamping with white craft ink first and then stamping over the same image with a darker color. The effect is so neat. Here is the sketch I followed:
Here are a couple more cards I shared on StampNation using this technique.
Thank you for visiting and have a great day!
Christmas card:
Cardstock: Whisper White, Crumb cake & Midnight Muse
Ink: White Craft, Midnight Muse
Stamps: Sassy Salutations, Snowflake Soiree
Accessories: Rhinestones, Twine, Banner trio die (Wplus9), Snow Flurry die (SU!)
These are fabulous, I love the first snow flake one!
ReplyDeletefabulous cards Kristie :) love how you used the anchor :) xx
ReplyDeleteOK, I have yet to try this technique, but I think I HAVE to on my next card - you did a wonderful job with it! Gorgeous cards all, but that snowflake one just trips my trigger no end. Mwah!
ReplyDeleteAwesome technique. The third card (with the red anchors) almost looked 3D...I was sure you had die cut the images and then popped them back in with dimensionals! The white ink really seems to work well with the kraft colored card stock. Thanks for sharing this fun technique with us. Your cards are awesome once again Kristie - love the details on the snowflake card!
ReplyDeleteThat technique makes the anchors look like negative die cuts. It's fabulous and is your snowflake card. Question, What kind of white ink do you use?
ReplyDeleteThank you, Bobby! I use Stampin' UP's! whisper white craft ink. It takes a little bit to dry but I help it along with my heat tool. :)
DeleteI am so in love with that anchor card, Kristie! Thanks for all you do and share with us at SN. We love you!

ReplyDeleteWhat a stunning MM card you have here, Kristie!! And I must go check out and try that ghost stamping, which looks marvelous on your cards! (Thank you for printing both your anchor cards; it's amazing how much the addition of the twine added to the design of the card!!)
ReplyDeleteThis is just fabulous! I actually thought your two anchor cards were punched out! I did a double-take when I realized they were just stamped! Your snowflake card is beautiful. What a cool technique! Thanks for playing with the Merry Monday sketch this week!
