THINKING OF YOU

Hey there friends!! The latest release from Catherine Pooler — Creative Thinking — releases June 8th at noon for StampNation members and June 9th for everyone!

I'm sharing a card today using goodies from the Sketchbook Bundle.

I die cut a bunch of the solid triangles from the Mosaic Tile Dies to use as a backer and ink blended the colors onto each one.  I added more ink at the tip of each triangle and less on the ends to give an ombre look.  I then glued the detail die cut over top each ink blended triangle die.

I arranged them onto my card in this hexagon pattern and added a white heat embossed sentiment on a black strip of card stock from the Thoughtful Phrases stamp set.

The Sketchbook Bundle Includes:

  • Desktop Treasures Stamp Set
  • Desktop Treasures Dies
  • Xanadu Cover Plate Die
  • Mosaic Tile Dies
  • Sketchbook Patterned Paper
  • Scranton Sequin Mix

Purchase these items in the bundle at a DISCOUNT, or pick and choose individual items!

Thank you for visiting and have a great day!

BIRTHDAY WISHES

Hi friends!  Happy Friday!!  I hope you have all had a great week.  I've got a fun birthday card to share today using the Light Burst slimline die on an A2 card.  I love using slimline dies on regular size cards too.  For this card I debossed the die on my piece of card stock using an embossing pad in my Big Shot.  I love using dies like this too.

To add the color, I die cut the die from card stock and used it as a stencil.  I created a similar card to this one but used the die cut pieces and colored those and added them to my card using dimensionals.  You can see that card here.  I finished off the card by stamping a sentiment using Midnight ink and die cutting it using a circle die.  I also added some Black Tie Gala patterned paper for a bit more interest.

WHEN LIFE GIVES YOU RAIN....

Hi friends!  Happy Thursday!  I'm sharing another card today using the adorable fox from the Puddle Play stamp set.  I stamped some of the amazing patterned clouds from the April Showers stamp set and then used the coordinating dies to dry emboss them.  I love that little detail on this simple card.

I used some patterned paper to paper piece his hat and used Copics to color him in.   Some black & white twine finish off my card.

Thank you for visiting and have a great day!

SENDING WAVES OF LOVE

Hi friends!  Happy Wednesday!  I've got some more of these adorable puffins to share today.  I white heat embossed the Making Waves background stamp onto my card panel and then used masking tape to mask off the center.  I ink blended some Sea Glass and Cove Blue ink over top.  I used a clean paper towel to wipe the excess ink off the embossing.

I stamped and die cut two puffins and colored them in using Copic markers.  I then stamped and die cut the sentiment on a die cut circle.  I attached them to my card using dimensional adhesive.

Thank you for visiting and have a great day!

COLOR HUES #19 - BLUE & BROWN

Hi friends!  Welcome to my post for Color Hues Challenge #19!  This time we are challenging you to use Blue & Brown for your card or project.

I pulled out some items I purchased a while back and never had a chance to use them.  This color challenge was the perfect opportunity.  I used the Just Plaid Slimline Stencil on my background and then the amazing pinecones from the Pinecone Greetings stamp set by Catherine Pooler.

I used two new spa ink colors to create the corner plaid and then stamped the pinecone elements using Icing on the Cake.  The sentiment is from The Greetery called Pitcher-esque.

I hope you'll be sure to check out the fabulous designs from the team & play along with us.

Thank you for visiting and have a great day!
