HAPPY THOUGHTS COMING YOUR WAY & CHRISTMAS IN JULY SALE

Hi friends!  Happy Tuesday!  I have another card to share with you all today using the Bloomin' Happy stamp set by Catherine Pooler.  I posted another card using the blooms HERE.

This card uses one of the amazing sentiments in the set along with one of the small circle images.  I stamped the sentiment in the center of my card base and then used my MISTI to stamp the circle image in a straight line across the card.  I used Fiesta Blue and Lime Rickey inks.

It's Christmas in July!

Catherine popped a few holiday goodies in the sale section of her shop...check them out here!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY

Hi friends!  I'm sharing a birthday card with you all today using a couple stamp sets that were previously released in the UK Foundations Box, but are now available in Catherine's store.  This card uses the Bloomin' Happy & Kudos to You stamp sets!

I stamped the blooms directly onto my card panel using It's a Girl and Sweet Sixteen inks and then stamped them again onto a scrap piece of paper using Party Dress and Pixie Dust inks.  I fussy cut the centers of the darker stamped images and popped them up onto the center of the stamped flowers for added dimension.  I stamped the leaves using Garden Party ink and the sentiment from the Kudos to You stamp set using Midnight ink.  The striped panel on the side was created using one of the stamps from the Kudos to You stamp set.

STAMPNATION COLOR CHALLENGE

Hi friends!  We have lots of fun over on StampNation with challenges, videos, events, etc.  Erika posted another color challenge over the weekend and I am finally getting a chance to play along.  Busy summer!

On Monday we kicked off this fun event!  I can't wait to see all the favorite crafty essentials and card making techniques shared from A to Z!  It's going to be fun!

Here is another card I created using the same supplies, but different colors.

I am in love with this color combo!  So pretty!

MARBLED BIRTHDAY

Hi everyone!  I have a fun masculine card to share with you all today.  This card could easily be made feminine by switching out the colors to girly colors.

Have you all seen the Marble Swirl stamp set by Catherine Pooler?  It is my absolute favorite of all the marble stamps out on the market right now.  There are 3 separate stamp images that you can nestle together to create your marble background and you can get amazing results by stamping each piece in a different color OR stamp them in multiple colors as I did on my card.

After stamping the background I trimmed it down and added a bit of a black layer to help it stand out and then white heat embossed the sentiment onto the stamped banner that comes in the stamp set.

Thank you for visiting and have a great day!

CHRISTMAS IN JULY!

Hi friends!  I have seen some Christmas in July cards being posted on FB and Instagram and figured I better get going on mine for this year too!  Have you started yours yet?

I'm playing along with AAA Cards: CAS Game #144 where they want Maxi white space.  My kind of challenge!  I die cut a piece of white card stock using Papertrey Ink's Tipped Top dies and stamped a sentiment from a Papertrey Ink stamp set.  I then stamped & clear embossed and then die cut this adorable bird from the Christmas Cookies stamp set by Catherine Pooler.

I colored it in with my Zig Clean color brush markers and used my Glimmer pen as my paint brush.  Not sure if you can see the sparkle, it was hard to capture on the photo, but it sparkles so much in real life.

I added the tipped top panel to my card base and some black and white twine finishes it off.  While I had my supplies out, I made a couple more using the Christmas Cookies stamp set.

This one uses the emboss resist technique on the tree.  Same layout just a different sentiment and image.

For this one I just stamped the image in the aperture.  Super clean and simple.
