I chose to just work with the sketch by flipping it.  

I thought this sketch was perfect for using up some of my hoarded ribbons.  :)  The sentiment and holly leaves are both from Papertrey Ink.

Merry Monday #133

Happy Monday friends!

Time for another Merry Monday Challenge.

This week Nina challenges us to create a rustic looking card using creams, tans & browns.

I immediately thought of this lovely Santa image by Stampin' Up!  I just LOVE that he fits perfectly in the Holiday Frames die by Simon Says Stamp.  A little sponging around the edges to add to the rustic feel of my card, a tilted panel and a twine bow to finish it off.

Merry Christmas

Happy Sunday friends!  Today's card was inspired by A Very Trendy Holiday 2.0.  There is a BONUS Sketch PDF that is included when you purchase the class.   I followed one of the sketches included in that bonus.

HURRY though, the bonus expires tonight at midnight.  When you sign up before midnight tonight the bonus section will be in your account forever....if you sign up after midnight tonight you will not see the bonus section.  Don't wait, you will not want to miss out!!!

For my card I used a Poinsettia stencil (Dreamweaver).  I traced the stencil with my Distress Markers then took a very fine paint brush with water only and painted each section to give it a watercolor look (TREND alert!).  I am very happy with how this card turned out but not sure I will be mass producing this one.  It took some time to do.
