Merry Monday & CAS(E) this sketch!

Hi friends!  I am sharing another Christmas card for Merry Monday challenge.  This week's photo inspiration is beautiful.

Here it is:

I used Simon Says woodgrain textured cardstock for my base layer.  I also followed the sketch over at CAS(E) this sketch but flipped it.  :)

I am happy to say that I have completed 100 Christmas cards so far for this year!  YAHOO!!!  I usually make and send out 150 so I have a good head start!  I am very thankful for Lesley and her challenges each week.  They sure have helped me to stay on track with making my Christmas cards all year long.  Thank you Lesley!

Peace

Hi friends.  I am playing along with another Christmas card challenge over at Festive Friday.
Here is the trigger:

I couldn't help but use my Papertrey Peace die for this.  I also used a new technique I saw Jennifer McGuire use here.  She called it stencil stamping.  You can watch her video to see how I made my card.  I was really hoping I had a small snowflake to fit in the letters but I didn't and had to go with a solid circle stamp I found in one of my flower sets.  I also wanted to do an ombre effect so I stamped full color on the top and then stamped off towards the bottom.  I will add this to Moxie Fab World: Honoring Ombre as well.

Thank you for visiting and have a great day!

Merry Monday

Hi friends.  I am playing along with Lesley's Merry Monday challenge again this week.  Lesley has changed it up a bit and this week is a color and photo inspiration.

Here it is:

I think if the challenge didn't have the ribbon, twine or burlap in it I would have left the twine off or maybe I should try dying some white with cherry cobbler.  What do you think?

I CASEd this card from one of Kristina Werner's from our Online card class:  Summer Card Camp 2.  I love having the base of the card shorter and having the decorative edge on one side.  Gives a different but fun look.

Thank you for visiting and have a great day!

For you

Hi friends.  Sharing this cute gift box I made at a recent class I attended.  I am adding it over at Moxie Fab World: Holiday Gift Wrap Challenge!  I love the big, red bow.  It is hard to see in the photo but the snowflakes are embossed with clear embossing powder.  I am thinking I can make some homemade Oreo truffles to stick inside to give to a friend.  They will fit perfectly.  :)

Thank you for visiting and have a great day!
