KURETAKE GANSAI TAMBI PEARL WATERCOLORS ON BLACK CARDSTOCK

Hi friends!  Happy Friday!  I have another card to share with you today using the Take Courage stamp set by Catherine Pooler.  I was inspired by a shirt I just bought recently.  I stamped the image using versamark ink then white heat embossed.  I then colored the image in using my Kuretake Gansai Tambi Pearl Watercolors.  I love that they show up so pretty on black card stock.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

Hi friends!  Happy Memorial Day to my friends in the US.  I have a birthday card to share with you all today using a stamp from the Take Courage stamp set by Catherine Pooler.

I wanted to try to make a fun geometric card using the corner stamp from the Take Courage stamp set and I am so happy with the result.  I love how this turned out.  I placed the stamp in my MISTI so that I could get perfect/straight stamping across my card.

I then colored in the squares at the top in rainbow order using my Zig Clean Color Brush markers and white heat embossed the sentiment from the Hey Mister stamp set!

I am adding this card over at AAA Cards for their 5th birthday celebration.

And adding it over at their sister site AAA Birthday!  I love a birthday challenge, I make and send a lot of birthday cards so this is perfect.  :)

I thought it was fitting this Memorial Day Weekend to post this yellow poppy card. I used the gorgeous Poignant Poppies set by Catherine.  I stamped each poppy using Limoncello, Tiara, Tiki Torch and Midnight for the outline.  I did do a bit of masking so they didn't overlap.  I stamped the leaves using Lime Rickey and Grass Skirt.

Hi friends!  Happy Monday!  I'm back today sharing another card using this gorgeous fern stamp from the Never Forget Fern stamp set by Catherine Pooler.  I trimmed a piece of white card stock to 3"x 4 1/4" and stamped the fern in the bottom right hand corner using Lime Rickey ink.  I then stamped the sentiment using Midnight ink from the Take Courage stamp set.

I added a strip of black card stock across the bottom of the card for a bit of interest.  Some black and white twine finish off my card.

BE STRONG

Hi friends!  I have a fun shaker card to share with you today using the gorgeous Gingko leaf from the Take Courage stamp set by Catherine Pooler.

I started my card by stamping the gingko leaf using the gorgeous new Rouge ink pad.  I then used the coordinating die to die cut from another piece of card stock and created the shaker.  I used some seed beads to fill my shaker, but not too many to cover up the stamping.

I added the Be Strong die cut sentiment and some black and white twine to finish off my card.

Hi friends!  I have one more Mother's Day card to share with you all today.  This time it's a fun shaker card.

I used the Spring in Bloom paper pack along with the Mom word die and stamps from the One in a Million Mom stamp set.  I used the Springfield sequin mix by Catherine Pooler.

STAMPNATION SPRING BREAK CHALLENGE 2: BEACH BUM

Hi friends!  I don't think I have mentioned to you about our fun Spring Break event happening over on StampNation.  We have some guest designers popping in over there to teach us some fun water techniques and of course, there are prizes from our amazing sponsors.  There are also different challenges for everyone to participate in.

The second challenge went up this week and I have a peek of my card to share with you all.

Erika (our lovely Community manager) created a fun quiz for all of us to take to find out what kind of Spring Breaker we are.  After taking the quiz I found out I was a #SNBEACHBUM!  Such a fun quiz.  Erika then posted a mood board for all of us to be inspired by along with some guidelines for creating our cards.  I loved creating this Clean and simple card.

When I first saw this gorgeous Ginkgo leaf I knew that I wanted to stamp it and color in the leaves a different color.  To do this, I stamped and heat embossed using Wink embossing powder which is in the Flirty Fuchsia WOW! trio!  This is a gorgeous color combined with Fiesta Blue ink to color in the leaves.  So pretty!

I really wanted the leaf to be the star of the show so I kept the rest of my card clean and simple.  I die cut the Have Courage sentiment and attached it to my card.  

This would be a great card to mass produce.

STORYBOOK COLLECTION RELEASE BLOG HOP & GIVEAWAY!

Hi everyone!  Welcome to the Storybook Collection release blog hop for Catherine Pooler Designs.  The Creative Team is sharing projects to introduce you to the new items.  If you are following along the hop you should have arrived here from Kelly's blog.  The complete blog hop list is below.

There are 3 different bundles being released along with the 4 new Spa ink colors!!!

My cards today feature products from the A Page from the Book Bundle.  I love all the sentiments that you can mix and match in the Take Courage stamp set.

For this first card I stamped the gorgeous Ginkgo leaf stamp by stamping once on scratch paper and then used the second generation stamping on my card panel using Twilight ink.  I LOVE the soft gray this created.  I then placed all the sentiment stamps in my MISTI, I removed the bigger sentiments so I could stamp them in different colors.  Having all of the sentiments lined up in my MISTI encouraged me to create more than one card using these sentiments.  LOVE that!

This card was created by stamping the fern stamp down the sides of the panel using the gorgeous new Sage ink color.  I also did second generation stamping on this one to fill in the empty spaces.

My final card uses two new ink colors, Sage and Queen for a Day along with previously released Daydream.  I stamped the sentiment and then stamped the corners using the corner stamp.  Super simple and easy to create!

I used the gorgeous Poignant Poppies Stamp Set on my card today.  These poppies are so gorgeous stamped in Catherine's inks.  So many different color combinations could be used.  I used It's a Girl, Party Dress, Rockin' Red and Midnight.  On the leaves I used Lime Rickey and Grass Skirt.  There are also coordinating dies.

I stamped and die cut a bunch of poppies and then arranged them onto my card base.  I then stamped the stems and leaves.  I attached the poppies using dimensional adhesive and stamped the sentiment using Midnight ink.  Added some black and white twine to finish it off.

CHRISTMAS IN MAY!!!

Hi friends!  I am working on getting a good head start on my Christmas cards this year.  I saw a sketch that I wanted to play with and found the perfect stamps to use.

The chevron oval stamp is from a stamp set called Chevron Cheer by Catherine Pooler.  I placed it in my MISTI and stamped out a few cards while it was in place.  I then stamped and die cut a few of the adorable snowmen from the Holiday Charm stamp set and then colored in a few spots for little pops of red.

I curved my sentiment on my clear block and stamped using Midnight ink.  I added some black and white twine to finish off this card.  I now have 5 more Christmas cards added to my stash.  Have you started making yours yet?
