Happy Birthday wishes & Sale

Hi everyone!  Have you checked out the sale going on over at Catherine Pooler Designs this week?  In celebration of back to school, Catherine Pooler is having a Back to School sale in her online store & a video series on her Youtube channel through August 30th.

You will find lots of products in this special Back to Basics sale category, including items from the Foundations Box which kicked off her amazing line of inks.  YES, some of her inks are on sale!!!  This box also contained three awesome stamp sets perfect for the beginner or seasoned stamper.

To celebrate this sale I created a clean and simple birthday card using the For Everything & Spot on Sentiments stamp sets.

Do you recognize the triangle stamp I used?  It's the tree from the For Everything stamp set!!  I stamped a row using Fiesta Blue ink and then another row using Orange Twist to create a fun chevron design.  

After stamping the trees, I trimmed card stock to cover up the bottom of the tree.  You could also mask off strips and line up the stamp so that the bottom would not be stamped.  I stamped the sentiment from the Spot on stamp set and added some black and white twine to finish off my card.

Back to Basics Sale

To celebrate this sale I created a clean and simple birthday card using the For Everything & Spot on Sentiments stamp sets.

I stamped the strip of circles multiple times onto my card stock using rainbow colors.  I then stamped the Happy & birthday in Midnight ink.  Cut it out using the Circle dies (on sale).  

I popped up the sentiment using dimensional adhesive and added a strip of black card stock to the top and bottom of my card.

Hi everyone!  Happy Sunday!  My card today features products from the "Kind of Batty" release by Catherine Pooler.  I use the Hello Autumn & Angled Squares Background stamp along with a sentiment from the Kind of Wonderful stamp set.

I had so much fun stamping these leaves in rainbow colors.  

I stamped and trimmed out pieces from the Angled Squares Background stamp to create a fun pattern at the top and bottom of my main panel.  The sentiment white heat embossed on black card stock finishes off my card.

Choose Kind

Hi everyone!  I have another card to share with you today using new goodies from the "Kind of Batty" release by Catherine Pooler Designs.

My card today features the amazing Three of a Kind dies and the Kind of Wonderful stamp set.

I started my card by stamping the ink splat from the Eat Sleep Create stamp set in rainbow colors across the top and bottom of my card.  I then took the largest of the three kind dies and ran it through my big shot with the embossing pad to create an impressed outline.  Here is a close up that might show it a bit better.

I love that little detail this adds.  I then die cut the next die from black card stock and the last die from white and layered them on top of one another.  I stamped Choose on top and added some black and white twine and my card is done.

My card today features the lovely Rose Garden stamp set and coordinating dies.

These roses have 4 layers to them to create a realistic rose on your project.  They are pretty easy to line up too.  I wanted the rose to be the focal point of my card so I kept the rest pretty simple.  

Stamped the sentiment and added some score lines on the bottom.  Some twine and sequins finish off my card.

KIND OF BATTY RELEASE BLOG HOP - DAY ONE

Hi everyone!  Welcome to Day 1 of the "Kind of Batty" release blog hops for Catherine Pooler Designs.  Today new stamps, dies and ink hit the shop.  The Creative Team will be sharing projects to introduce you to the new items over the next few days.  You can see all of the new products HERE!

This release is actually two releases rolled into one.  Some products are under the "Kind of Wonderful" release and some Halloween products are under the "Going Batty" release.

Together they are the "Kind of Batty" release!

My cards feature the products from the "Kind of Wonderful" release.

• Hello Autumn Stamp set
• Hello Autumn Dies

Look how amazing that layered leaf looks with Catherine's inks!!!  Stunning, right?!!!  I started by stamping the leaf using all the layers and die cutting it with the coordinating die.  I then used just one of the layers to stamp the row of leaves using the yellows/oranges I used on the die cut leaf.

I popped up the die cut leaf onto one of the solid stamped leaves and then stamped the sentiment using Midnight ink and added some strips of black card stock to the bottom and some black and white twine to the top and my card is done.  

My next card features these amazing products:

• Kind of Wonderful Stamp Set
• Three of a Kind dies
• Angled Squares Background

I started my card by stamping and white heat embossing the kind from the Kind of Wonderful stamp set.  I then sponged Lime Rickey and Aquatini ink over top.  After getting a good blend, I used a paper towel to wipe off the excess ink from the white embossing.  This step really makes the white embossing pop.

I then die cut it using the coordinating die cut.  I also die cut the layer behind from black card stock.  I love this look!  I glued this onto my white card stock and stamped the coordinating sentiment above using Midnight ink.

The stripes on the bottom are from the new Angled Squares Background stamp.  I stamped it onto a piece of white card stock using Midnight ink and instead of using the whole piece, I trimmed part of it off and used it on the bottom of my card.  Some black and white twine finishes off my card.
