Sunny with a Side of Sparkle Release - Blog Hop Day 2

Hi everyone and welcome to Day 2 of the Sunny with a side of Sparkle release blog hops for Catherine Pooler Designs.  There will be 3 days of blog hops where the Creative Team will be sharing inspiration using the new products.

My first card features the new Say it with Diamonds stamp set!

I absolutely LOVE the images and sentiments in the Say it with Diamonds stamp set.  There are SO many possibilities with this set.  I am thinking of the many different sets of cards I can make to give as gifts to my friends.

I stamped the images and then colored the small images with my Copics. I have not colored with my Copics in a long time and it was really relaxing.  This is a simple card, but the images and sentiment really make a statement.

As you can see on this close up photo that I added some black enamel accents to the diamond image.  This little touch add so much to this card.

My next card is also pretty simple but uses the Starlights stamp set.

The star images in this stamp set are some of my favorites and I love that they can be used for so many different occasions.  I can see using them for Christmas cards as well as many birthday cards.

This card would be a great one to mass produce in many different color combo and also would work great for a Christmas Card using Red & Green stars and a Merry Christmas sentiment.

SUNNY WITH A SIDE OF SPARKLE - NEW RELEASE

Hi everyone!  Today is a new release from Catherine Pooler called Sunny with a side of Sparkle.  There are 3 days of blog hops starting today over on Catherine's blog.  I'm not officially on the hop today, but I have a card I wanted to share with you all.  Make sure you come back tomorrow for my blog hop day post.  :)

My card features the new Twisted Sunburst stencil.  This stencil is a must have for your stash.

I started this card by sponging flirty fuschia.  After I got a good blend with that color, I washed the stencil and then flipped it over and lined it up and sponged Aquatini ink.  I LOVE the design this gives and have to give credit to Ardyth for sharing this fun tip of flipping the stencil.  She has created some amazing cards.

I decided I wanted a portion of the sponged piece to show, so I die cut a circle from a piece of card stock and layered it over top of the portion of the sponged piece.  The sentiment is from the Starlights stamp set.  I added some sequins and black & white twine to finish off my card.

Sparkly Butterfly Thanks

Hi everyone!  I am sharing a fun card today using the Scroll Butterfly die by Catherine Pooler and some watercoloring using Zig Clean Color Brush Markers for my background.

I started my card by scribbling some colors using the Zig Clean Color Brush Markers onto some Bristol Smooth Watercolor card stock.  After scribbling, I spritzed with water and let the colors run and blend together.

I then die cut the Scroll Butterfly out of the center of the watercolored piece.  I saved that piece to use on another card later.  I then die cut the same butterfly from some silver glitter paper and inlaid it into the watercolored piece.  I backed the piece with black card stock a dramatic look.  I stamped the Thanks from the Note of Thanks stamp set and adhered the panel onto a piece of white card stock.

Some black and white twine finishes off my card.

Wonderful Wildflower Thanks

Hi everyone!  I have a quick post for you today sharing a card I created using the Wonderful Wildflowers & Note of Thanks stamp sets.

This was a super fun card to stamp and put together.  Using Catherine's amazing stamping blocks with the grid lines made stamping the THANKS at an angle a breeze!!!  I then added the beautiful wildflower and trimmed the panel at an angle.
