Merry Christmas


Hi everyone!
I am back today with another Christmas card following the sketch at Less is More.


I used the Curtis Background stamp from the Stamp of Approval Friendship collection on my card base.  Embossed it using white embossing powder then sponged over it with Festive Berries Distress Ink.  The top panel was trimmed using the stitched diagonal die by Lil' Inker Designs.  The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink and the little "snowflake" was created by putting two of the "bursts" together from the die set found in the collection.  Added a rhinestone to the center of the snowflake to finish off the card.

Muse: ChristmasVisions Guest

Hi everyone! 
 I am super excited to be Guesting over at Muse: ChristmasVisions!

I love making Christmas cards year round.
I have already built quite a collection of cards for this Christmas.
Here is my card:


For my card I used the same leaf stamp I used on this card to create/mimic Christmas greenery.  I colored with Copics, making the center "flower" red and the leaves green.  The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink.  The side-stitched dies are from Lil' Inker Designs.

I can't wait to see how you are all inspired by my card.

Tag It! Challenge

Hi everyone!
This week's challenge at StampNation is to create a tag to use on your project.

 I created a couple more cards to share with you all here.


AND using the tag I cut from the above card.


For the background on the top card I used distress inks on the Curtis Background stamp from the Stamp of Approval Friendship Collection.  I inked it up and then spritzed with water to blend the colors.   The tag, friend word die and sequins are also from the Stamp of Approval Friendship Collection.

I love that peeps are starting to receive their Stamp of Approval Friendship boxes.  I have seen some awesome cards on StampNation and also around blog land using these supplies.  I can't wait to see more.

Celebrate


Hi everyone!
Today I am sharing a card inspired by two challenges.  



I used Lil' Inker Designs Spot on Spring and Spot on Stamps with the coordinating Connected Circles Die.  I chose the most graphic patterns from the two stamp sets and used the colors from the Pinterest Inspired Challenge.  LOVE these colors together!!  To add a bit of interest to my CAS design I used the die to cut the white panel and popped up the circles themselves with dimensionals.

Flower Power

Hi everyone!
This week's challenge at StampNation is to use flowers on our project.

Here's a peek at the DT's cards...


 I created another card to share with you all here.


I started by stamping the flowers from the stamp set In Bloom: Eva's Favorite Flowers found in the Stamp of Approval Friendship Collection onto a piece of Designer Series paper.  I always forget about stamping onto DSP and I love the look.  I then stamped the sentiment and trimmed the piece off the bottom, fussy cutting around the Y.  I heat embossed the rest of the sentiment using white embossing powder.  Added some twine across the top to finish it off.

Happy Birthday


Hi everyone!
I am sharing another card using a stamp from the Stamp of Approval Friendship Collection but using it with a sentiment I already had in my stash.  That is one thing I LOVE about this collection, it can be used by itself to make many projects AND it can be used with what you already have in your stash to create even more fun projects.  

You know I love rainbows, so I had to stamp this fun leaf/flower image from In Bloom: Eva's Favorite Flowers stamp set in rainbow colors. To create the lighter color I stamped the image without re-inking.

The panels were split using Lil' Inker Designs On the Diagonal die.  The sentiment is embossed using white embossing powder and is from Papertrey Ink's Keep It Simple collection.  The sequins are also from the Stamp of Approval box.

I am adding this over at Seize the Birthday.  
The topping is Embossing.

Muse: Christmas Visions


Hi everyone!
Today's card is for Muse: Christmas Visions.
The Muse is the lovely, Kimberly Wiener.

Here is her card.


Here is how I was inspired:
  • colors
  • embossed images on 4 different panels
  • dark card base
  • especially inspired by the blue panel with white snowflakes

I used the Stitched Duo 3 die by Pretty Pink Posh for my 4 little panels.  I stamped the snowflake from Clearly Whimsy's set, Sparkle & Shine using versamark.  I then used clear embossing powder to set the images.  For my coloring of each panel, I used the smooshing technique.  I would dry each panel and add more color until the desired color was achieved.  The larger rectangle is from Lil' Inker Designs and the sentiment is from Papertrey Ink.
