Happy Birthday

Hi friends.  Sorry for being quite here.  I have been in a creative slump lately.  I think it is spring fever.  We have been having some beautiful spring weather here in NH (finally) and I want to take advantage of it.  Also, I home school our 4 children so that has been taking up some of my time as well.  Evaluations are coming up.  YIKES!  :)  Here is my card for Seize the Birthday:

Here is the sketch I followed and this week it was a masculine card:

I am also entering this at Simon Says: Anything goes and CAS-ual Fridays: Birthday.

Thank you for visiting and have a great day!

Cardstock:  Very Vanilla, Real Red, Early Espresso, 6x6 paper pack: simple stories
Ink:  Early Espresso
Stamps:  Sketched Shapes (PTI)
Accessories:  Star framelit dies, Banner trio die (Wplus9), Enamel dots

  4. I hear you on the creative slump (me and hundreds of others it seems)....however, I'm seriously doubting 'slump' when I saw this card! Hey, I'd take your 'slump' in a heart beat! Seriously fabulous and fun !

I admire your choice to home school your four children. You must be one super organized and busy, busy lady!

We are under a heavy snowfall warning for today....imagine that! Spring weather...yeah right! Maybe by late August!!!

  7. Glad you are enjoying some nice weather, Kristie. It seems just like yesterday I was putting together portfolios for my kids, now one son is graduating college on Friday and the other is graduating from law school two weeks later. My daughter who is a junior in college had an Honor society induction last week and as she handed me the certificate...she smiled and said- this is for my portfolio;) I would time travel back in a minute- wonderful to see them grow into two great men and woman but miss those days teaching each other!!

I love your card! How neat to use the star and add those cute blue accents! You have such a great stamping style.

  15. I'm sorry you're in a creative slump, but I understand wanting to take advantage of the spring (we had snow yesterday, so I hear you!). Good luck with the assessments.

Your card is so much fun! The die cut star with the sentiment on the inside looks great. I love the enamel dots, too! Thanks for joining us for the CAS-ual Fridays Challenge!
